Setup
1. Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge your Xelarvex recorder. Connect the provided USB-A to USB-C charging cable to the device and a power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter). A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

2. Setting the Time
For accurate timestamping of your recordings, it is recommended to connect the device to a computer (Windows/Mac) or a compatible smartphone (iPhone/Android) using the provided adapters. Access the device's settings file to synchronize the internal clock with your device's time.
Operating Instructions
1. Starting a Recording
To begin recording, simply slide the power switch on the side of the device to the ON position. The blue indicator light will blink briefly and then turn off, indicating that the device is now actively recording.
2. Stopping and Saving a Recording
To stop recording and save your audio file, slide the power switch to the OFF position. The red indicator light will blink briefly, confirming that your recording has been saved to the device's internal memory.
3. Voice Activated Recording (VAR)
The Xelarvex recorder features an intelligent voice activation mode. When enabled (via settings accessed through a connected device), the recorder will automatically start recording when sound is detected above 45dB and pause when the sound level drops below 45dB, conserving battery and storage space.

4. Accessing and Managing Recordings
You can access your recorded files in several ways:
- Via USB-C Headphones: Plug the provided USB-C headphones into the device's USB-C port. You can then listen to your recordings directly. Use the +/- buttons on the headphone cable to navigate between tracks and adjust volume.
- Via Computer (Windows/Mac): Connect the recorder to your computer using the USB-A to USB-C cable. The device will appear as a removable drive. Navigate to the 'RECORDED' folder to find your audio files (typically .WAV format).
- Via Smartphone (iPhone/Android): Use the appropriate USB-C to Lightning or USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect the recorder to your smartphone. Access the files through your phone's file management application.

5. Deleting Recordings
To delete recordings directly from the device using the headphones, connect the USB-C headphones. While listening to a recording, press and hold both the '+' and '-' volume buttons simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds until you hear a confirmation tone or indication that the files are deleted.
Maintenance
- Keep the device dry and away from moisture.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures.
- Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Charge the device regularly to maintain battery health, even if not in frequent use.
Troubleshooting
- Device not turning on: Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and try again.
- No recording or poor audio quality: Check that the power switch is firmly in the 'ON' position. Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. While the device has AI-Intelligent Noise Reduction, very loud or continuous background noise may still affect clarity. Try recording in a quieter environment.
- Cannot access files on computer/phone: Verify that the correct OTG adapter is used and securely connected. Ensure your computer or phone's file management system is open and recognizing external drives. Try restarting the connected device.
- Device unresponsive: Locate the 'RESET' pinhole on the device (often near the USB-C port or switch). Use a small, pointed object (like a paperclip) to gently press the reset button.
