4.6 Photo Development
After a photo ejects, it will be blank. It needs time to develop. For best results:
- Immediately shield the photo from light by placing it face down or in a dark place.
- Allow the photo to develop for approximately 10-15 minutes at room temperature. Development times may vary based on ambient temperature.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Lens and Rollers
To ensure clear photos and proper film ejection, regularly clean the camera's lens and film rollers.
- Lens: Use the provided Lumintrail Lens Cleaning Cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the lens. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Rollers: With the film door open (and no film loaded), gently wipe the film rollers with a slightly damp, soft cloth. Allow them to dry completely before loading film.
5.2 Battery Care
The Polaroid Now Generation 3 has a rechargeable battery. To prolong battery life:
- Charge the camera regularly, even if not in frequent use.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery before recharging.
- Store the camera in a cool, dry place when not in use.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Polaroid Now Generation 3 camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Photos are too dark: Ensure the flash is enabled, especially in low-light conditions. Check that the lens is clean and unobstructed.
- Photos are blurry: Hold the camera steady when taking a picture. The autofocus system works best when the subject is within the recommended distance (0.4m to infinity).
- Film not ejecting: Check if the film pack is correctly loaded and if there is any film remaining. Ensure the film rollers are clean and free of debris.
- Camera not powering on: Verify that the battery is charged. Connect the camera to a charger and wait a few minutes before attempting to power it on again.
- Light leaks on photos: Ensure the film door is securely closed after loading film. Avoid opening the film door once film is loaded.
