Setup

2. Position Home Base: Place the Home Base on a level surface against a wall, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1.5 feet (0.5 meters) on either side and 4 feet (1.2 meters) in front.
3. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into the Home Base and then into a wall outlet. Ensure the Home Base indicator light illuminates.
4. Charge Robot: Place the Roomba robot onto the Home Base, aligning its charging contacts with those on the base. The robot will emit a tone to confirm proper connection and begin charging. Allow at least 3 hours for a full charge before first use.

Operating Instructions

Starting a Cleaning Cycle

Maintenance

Emptying the Dust Bin

1. Press the bin release tab and pull the bin to remove it.
2. Open the bin door to empty debris into a trash receptacle.

4. Reinsert the bin into the robot until it clicks into place.

Cleaning the Brushes

• Remove the cleaning head frame by lifting the tabs.
• Remove the brushes and clean any hair or debris wrapped around them.
• Reinstall the brushes and close the cleaning head frame.

Cleaning the Filter

• Remove the filter from the dust bin.
• Tap the filter against a trash can to remove debris. Do not wash the filter.
• Reinsert the clean filter into the dust bin.

Cleaning the Edge-Sweeping Brush

• Use a small screwdriver to remove the screw holding the Edge-Sweeping Brush.
• Remove the brush and clean any hair or debris.
• Reinstall the brush and tighten the screw.
