Setup and Installation

  1. Battery Installation:

    The timer requires batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Open the latch and insert the required batteries (typically 2x AA, not included). Ensure correct polarity. Close the battery cover securely, ensuring the sealed rubber ring is properly seated to maintain IP54 waterproof rating.

  2. Connecting to Faucet:

    Screw the timer onto a standard outdoor faucet. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent leaks. Use the provided thread-sealing tape if necessary. The connector is made of 30% reinforced nylon material for durability.

  3. Connecting Hoses:

    Attach your garden hoses to the two independent outlets (Zone A and Zone B) at the bottom of the timer. Ensure a secure connection. Built-in stainless steel filters are present to prevent debris from entering the system.

  4. Initial Time Setting:

    Upon first power-up or battery replacement, the LCD display will activate. Set the current time using the appropriate buttons (refer to the "Operating" section for detailed button functions).

Programming Watering Schedules

The timer features 2 independent zones (A and B) and up to 8 programmable schedules (4 for each zone).

  1. Select Zone: Press the 'A' or 'B' button to select the zone you wish to program.
  2. Set Start Time: Use the arrow buttons to adjust the desired start time for watering. Press 'OK' to confirm.
  3. Set Watering Duration: Adjust the watering duration from 1 second to 24 hours. Press 'OK' to confirm.
  4. Set Watering Frequency: Choose the frequency from 1 hour to 24 hours, or daily up to every 32 days. Press 'OK' to confirm.

Manual Modes

The timer offers 3 manual modes for immediate watering:

  • Press the 'MANUAL' button to activate manual mode.
  • Use the arrow buttons to set the desired manual watering duration (1 second to 24 hours).
  • Press 'OK' to start manual watering.
  • To stop manual watering, press the 'STOP' button.

Smart Rain Delay Function

The built-in rain sensor allows the timer to automatically skip scheduled watering during rainy conditions, conserving water. The timer will resume its preset program after the rain delay period.

Child Lock Mode

To prevent accidental changes to settings, activate the child lock mode. Refer to the product's specific instructions for engaging and disengaging the child lock, typically by holding down a specific button combination (e.g., the lock icon button).

Maintenance

  • Filter Cleaning: Periodically check and clean the built-in stainless steel filter at the inlet to prevent debris from clogging the timer or hoses. Unscrew the timer from the faucet, remove the filter, rinse it under running water, and reinsert.
  • Battery Replacement: When the low battery indicator flashes, replace the batteries promptly. The low battery valve will automatically shut off to prevent water waste. After replacing batteries, the current time may need to be reset, but your programmed schedules should be retained.
  • Winterization: Before freezing temperatures, disconnect the timer from the faucet and hoses. Drain any remaining water from the unit and store it indoors in a dry, protected area to prevent damage from freezing.
