4. Setup

Follow these steps to connect your RetroN GX console:

  1. Connect HDMI: Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI OUT port on the back of the RetroN GX console and the other end into an available HDMI input on your television or monitor.
  2. Connect Power: Plug the USB-C power cable into the USB-C port on the back of the console. Connect the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.
  3. Connect Controller: Plug the wired controller into one of the controller ports on the front of the console.
  4. Insert Game Cartridge: Gently insert your TurboGrafx-16 or PC Engine game cartridge into the cartridge slot on top of the console. Ensure it is fully seated.
