1. Product Overview

The COMICA EJoy D10(D) is a versatile USB gaming microphone designed for high-quality audio capture in various applications such as gaming, streaming, podcasting, and recording. It features both XLR professional and USB-C digital interfaces, offering broad compatibility with sound cards, recorders, mixers, computers, mobile phones, and tablets. The microphone incorporates a cardioid dynamic capsule for clear sound pickup, 48kHz/24bit recording for lossless audio, and a CalMix algorithm for precise voice recognition and noise filtering. Key functionalities include real-time monitoring, 4-level gain control, one-click muting, and dynamic RGB lighting with six customizable effects. This model comes with a desktop stand for convenient placement.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Microphone Assembly (Desktop Stand)

1. Connect the threaded hole of the microphone to the screw on the desktop mic stand.
2. Rotate clockwise to fasten the microphone securely to the stand.
3. Adjust the angle of the microphone using the locking knob on the stand to achieve optimal positioning.

3.2 Connecting to Devices (Digital Output - USB-C)

The microphone supports digital audio output via its USB-C port. Use the provided 2-in-1 audio cable to connect to compatible devices.

• For USB-C devices (smartphones, tablets, computers): Connect the USB-C end of the 2-in-1 cable to the microphone's USB-C port and the other USB-C end to your device.
• For USB-A devices (computers): Connect the USB-C end of the 2-in-1 cable to the microphone's USB-C port and the USB-A end to your computer's USB-A port.
• For Lightning port devices (iPhones/iPads): A USB-to-Lightning adapter or cable that supports OTG functionality is required (purchased separately).

The microphone will automatically turn on when connected to a device and turn off when disconnected. If disconnected, it will automatically turn off after 10 minutes.

3.3 Connecting to Devices (Analog Output - XLR)

For analog audio output, connect the microphone via its XLR port to an audio interface, recorder, or mixer. You will need an XLR-XLR or XLR-3.5mm TRS audio cable (not included, please purchase separately).

When using the XLR port for analog audio, only the dynamic audio signal is delivered. Other functions like RGB lighting, gain control, EQ effects, and noise cancellation are unavailable in this mode.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Microphone Orientation

The EJoy D10(D) features a dynamic mic capsule. For optimal recording quality, ensure the top of the microphone, where the capsule is located, is pointed directly towards the sound source.

4.2 Controls and Indicators

The microphone features several controls and indicators for easy operation:

• Denoise Button: Short press to toggle noise cancellation on or off. The status indicator light will change accordingly (blue for normal, green for denoise mode).
• Monitoring Volume Knob/Muting Button:
  • Rotate clockwise (+) to increase headphone monitoring volume.
  • Rotate counter-clockwise (-) to decrease headphone monitoring volume.
  • Short press to toggle the muting function on or off. The status indicator light will turn red when muted.
• Gain Adjustment Switch: Slide left or right to select one of four gain levels (1, 2, 3, 4).
• EQ Effect Button:
  • Press and hold to turn the EQ effect on or off.
  • Short press to switch between three EQ settings: Bass (orange light), Natural (blue light), Bright (green light).
• RGB Light Button:
  • Long press to turn the RGB light effect on or off.
  • Short press to switch between six RGB light effects: Audio Dynamic, Comica Orange, Sea Wave, Colorful Breathing Light, RGB Slow Wave, Rotating Rainbow.
• 3.5mm Headphone Monitoring Port: Plug in 3.5mm TRS/TRRS headphones for real-time audio monitoring.
• Status Indicator Light:
  • Normal Use: Blue light stays on.
  • Denoise Mode: Green light stays on.
  • Muting Status: Red light stays on.
  • Low Power: Red light blinks slowly.
  • Charging (powered off): Red light stays on.
  • Fully Charged: Blue light stays on.

4.3 Charging

The microphone can be charged via its USB-C port using a power bank or DC power supply with the provided charging/audio output cable.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Sound Output / Microphone Not Recognized:
  • Ensure the microphone is securely connected to your device via the appropriate cable (USB-C for digital, XLR for analog).
  • For digital connections (USB-C), check your device's sound settings. Select "Comica_EJoy D10" as the output and input device.
  • If using an XLR connection, ensure your audio interface/mixer is properly configured and receiving signal. Remember that RGB, gain, EQ, and denoise functions are not available in XLR mode.
  • Verify that the microphone is powered on (blue status indicator light).
• Input Sound Too Loud/Distorted (Digital Output):
  • Adjust the gain level using the gain adjustment switch on the bottom of the microphone.
  • Reduce the microphone input gain in your computer's sound settings (e.g., "Microphone Properties - Levels" in Windows).
• Background Noise Present:
  • Activate the noise cancellation feature by short pressing the denoise button (green status indicator light).
  • Ensure the microphone is positioned correctly, pointing directly at the sound source and away from unwanted noise.
• RGB Lights Not Working:
  • Long press the RGB Light Button on the bottom of the microphone to toggle the light effect on/off.
  • Short press the RGB Light Button to cycle through the six available light effects.
  • Note that RGB lighting is not available when using the XLR analog output unless external USB power is supplied.
• No Headphone Monitoring:
  • Ensure your 3.5mm TRS/TRRS headphones are fully plugged into the monitoring port.
  • Adjust the monitoring volume using the monitoring volume knob on the front panel.
