4. Installation
The HM EV Charger is designed for wall-mounted installation and can also be adapted for column mounting. Due to the electrical nature of this device, professional installation by a certified electrician is mandatory to ensure safety and compliance with all local electrical codes.
4.1 Site Selection
- Choose a location that is easily accessible for vehicle parking and charging.
- Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound and can support the weight of the charger (approximately 4 kg / 8.8 lbs).
- Maintain adequate clearance around the charger for ventilation and maintenance.
- Consider proximity to the main electrical panel for power supply connection.

4.2 Electrical Connection

5. Operating Instructions
The HM EV Charger offers two primary methods for initiating a charging session: Plug&Charge and RFID card authorization.
5.1 Plug&Charge Operation
- Connect: Ensure the charger is powered on. Take the Type 2 charging connector and firmly insert it into your electric vehicle's charging port.
- Initiate: The charger will automatically detect the vehicle and initiate the charging process. The LCD display will show real-time charging status.
- Monitor: Observe the LCD display for charging power, voltage, current, and elapsed time.
- Terminate: To stop charging, disconnect the Type 2 connector from your vehicle. The charging session will end automatically.
5.2 RFID Card Authorization (If configured)
- Connect: Insert the Type 2 charging connector into your electric vehicle's charging port.
- Authorize: Hold your authorized RFID card over the designated RFID card swipe area on the charger's front panel (refer to Figure 3.2).
- Initiate: Upon successful authorization, the charger will begin the charging process. The LCD display will show charging status.
- Monitor: Observe the LCD display for charging power, voltage, current, and elapsed time.
- Terminate: To stop charging, swipe your RFID card over the sensor again, or disconnect the Type 2 connector from your vehicle.
