1. Introduction

The 1Mii DS70 Bluetooth 5.2 Transmitter is designed to add Bluetooth audio transmission capabilities to your television or other audio sources. It enables you to wirelessly stream audio to Bluetooth headphones or speakers, providing a private listening experience without disturbing others. Key features include support for aptX Low Latency, aptX Adaptive, and aptX HD codecs for synchronized audio and video, the ability to connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously, and a clear LCD display for intuitive operation. Its unique pass-through mode allows for simultaneous audio output to both Bluetooth headphones and a wired soundbar or stereo system.

3. Product Overview

The DS70 features a compact design with an integrated LCD display and various input/output ports on the rear panel.

3.1 Front Panel and Controls

The top surface of the DS70 houses the LCD display and control buttons:

• LCD Display: Shows pairing status, device name, decoding format, and volume level.
• Search Button (Q): Initiates Bluetooth device search.
• OK Button: Confirms selections.
• Up/Down Buttons (∧, ∨): Navigate menus and adjust volume.
• Return Button (↵): Goes back to the previous screen.

3.2 Rear Panel and Ports

The rear panel provides all necessary audio input and power connections:

• MIC Input: For connecting a microphone (if applicable).
• AUX Input: 3.5mm audio jack for analog audio input.
• OPT Input: Optical (Toslink) port for digital audio input.
• Input Source Switch (OPT/AUX/MIC): Selects the active audio input.
• Bypass/Speaker Output (AUX/OPT): For pass-through audio to an external soundbar or stereo.
• ON/OFF Switch: Powers the device on or off.
• DC IN: USB-C port for power supply.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your 1Mii DS70 Bluetooth Transmitter:

4.1 Power Connection

1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the DC IN port on the DS70.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port on your TV/PC.
3. Flip the ON/OFF switch on the rear panel to the ON position. The device will power on and the LCD screen will illuminate.

4.2 Audio Input Connection

Choose one of the following methods to connect the DS70 to your audio source (e.g., TV, PC, CD player):

• Optical (Digital Audio): Use the provided optical cable to connect the OPT Input on the DS70 to the optical output port on your TV or audio source.
• AUX (Analog Audio): Use the provided 3.5mm audio cable to connect the AUX Input on the DS70 to the 3.5mm headphone jack or AUX output on your TV or audio source.
• RCA (Analog Audio): Use the provided 3.5mm to RCA audio cable. Connect the 3.5mm end to the AUX Input on the DS70 and the RCA ends to the corresponding red and white RCA audio output ports on your TV or audio source.
• MIC Input: If your TV lacks audio outputs, you can use the MIC input for sound collection with a microphone (microphone not included).

Important Note:

• After connecting the audio cable, ensure you switch the Input Source Switch on the DS70's rear panel to match the connected input (e.g., OPT for optical, AUX for 3.5mm/RCA, MIC for microphone). Failure to do so will result in no sound output.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Pairing Bluetooth Headphones/Speakers

1. Ensure the DS70 is powered on and the correct audio input is selected.
2. Put your Bluetooth headphones or speaker into pairing mode. Refer to your device's manual for specific instructions.
3. On the DS70, press the Search (Q) button. The DS70 will begin searching for nearby Bluetooth devices, and the LCD screen will display a list of discoverable devices.
4. Use the Up/Down (∧, ∨) buttons to navigate the list and select your desired Bluetooth device.
5. Press the OK button to confirm the selection and initiate pairing.
6. Once successfully paired, the device name will appear on the DS70's screen, and the Bluetooth icon will indicate a stable connection.

5.2 Pairing Two Headphones Simultaneously

The DS70 can transmit audio to two Bluetooth headphones or speakers at the same time:

1. Pair the first Bluetooth headphone/speaker as described in Section 5.1.
2. Once the first device is connected, put your second Bluetooth headphone/speaker into pairing mode.
3. Press the Search (Q) button on the DS70 again.
4. Select the second device from the list on the LCD screen and press OK to pair.
5. Both connected devices will be displayed on the screen (e.g., A: BT headphone 1, B: BT headphone 2).

5.3 Volume Control

Use the Up/Down (∧, ∨) buttons on the DS70 to adjust the output volume. The current volume level will be displayed on the LCD screen.

5.4 Unique Pass-through Mode

The pass-through mode allows audio to be simultaneously output to both Bluetooth headphones and a wired soundbar or stereo system. This is particularly useful for shared viewing experiences or for individuals with hearing impairment who prefer headphones while others listen via speakers.

1. Connect your TV's audio output to the DS70's input (Optical, AUX, or RCA) as described in Section 4.2.
2. Connect your wired soundbar or stereo system to the Bypass/Speaker Output (AUX or OPT) on the DS70's rear panel.
3. Pair your Bluetooth headphones/speakers with the DS70 as described in Section 5.1.
4. Audio will now be transmitted wirelessly to your Bluetooth devices and simultaneously through the wired connection to your soundbar/stereo.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your 1Mii DS70 transmitter:

• Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself, as this will void the warranty.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DS70, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• No Sound Output:
  • Ensure the DS70 is powered on.
  • Verify that the audio input cable is securely connected to both the DS70 and your audio source (TV/PC).
  • Check that the Input Source Switch on the DS70's rear panel is set to the correct input (Optical, AUX, or MIC) corresponding to your connection.
  • Confirm that your TV's audio output settings are correctly configured to send audio through the selected port (e.g., PCM for optical output, not Bitstream/Dolby/DTS).
  • Ensure your Bluetooth headphones/speakers are powered on, in pairing mode, and successfully connected to the DS70.
  • Adjust the volume on both the DS70 and your connected Bluetooth device.
• Audio Delay (Lip-Sync Issues):
  • The DS70 supports aptX Low Latency (aptX LL) for minimal audio delay. To achieve low latency, your Bluetooth headphones/speakers must also support aptX LL. If your headphones do not support aptX LL, the DS70 will use other codecs (like aptX, SBC), which may result in a 70-200ms audio delay.
  • aptX LL is not supported when connecting two pairs of headphones simultaneously.
• Cannot Pair Bluetooth Device:
  • Ensure your Bluetooth headphones/speakers are in pairing mode and discoverable.
  • Make sure the DS70 is in search mode (press the Search (Q) button).
  • Move the DS70 closer to your Bluetooth device.
  • Clear the pairing history on both the DS70 and your Bluetooth device, then try pairing again.
  • Restart both the DS70 and your Bluetooth device.
• Intermittent Connection or Poor Audio Quality:
  • Ensure there are no significant obstacles (walls, large metal objects) between the DS70 and your Bluetooth device.
  • Reduce the distance between the DS70 and your Bluetooth device.
  • Avoid placing the DS70 near other wireless devices that may cause interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones).
