3. Product Components Overview

3.1. 1200lbs Magnetic Lock

This electromagnetic lock provides 1200 pounds of holding force, ensuring secure door closure. It consists of an electromagnet unit and an armature plate.

3.2. Power Supply Controller (Model: SP1203)

The power supply controller manages the power to the magnetic lock and integrates the control signals from the exit button, remote controls, and Tuya App. It features adjustable timer settings for door unlock duration.

• Input Power (AC 100-240V): Connects to mains power.

• Timer Adjustment (0S-15S): Potentiometer to set unlock delay.

4. Installation Guide

4.1. Magnetic Lock Installation (Outswinging Door)

For outswinging doors, an L-bracket is typically used to mount the magnetic lock to the door frame, and the armature plate is mounted to the door.

1. Mount the L-Bracket: Secure the L-bracket to the door frame using appropriate screws and anchors. Ensure it is level and positioned correctly for the magnetic lock.
2. Attach Magnetic Lock: Mount the electromagnetic lock unit to the L-bracket.
3. Install Armature Plate: Attach the armature plate to the door itself, aligning it with the magnetic lock unit. Ensure there is a small rubber washer between the armature plate and the door to allow for slight movement and proper engagement.
4. Adjust Alignment: Verify that the magnetic lock and armature plate align perfectly when the door is closed to ensure maximum holding force.

4.2. Exit Button Installation

Install the exit button on the inside of the door frame or wall at a convenient height.

1. Choose Location: Select a suitable location for the exit button, typically near the door on the secure side.
2. Mount Button: Secure the exit button to the wall or door frame using the provided screws.

4.3. Power Supply Controller Mounting

Mount the power supply controller in a secure, dry location, preferably near the door and a power outlet.

5. Wiring Diagram and Connections

• Power Input (AC 100-240V): Connect the power plug connector to the 'N' (Neutral) and 'L' (Live) terminals on the power supply controller.
• Magnetic Lock Connection: Connect the magnetic lock's positive (+) wire to the 'V+' terminal and the negative (-) wire to the 'V-' terminal on the power supply controller.
• Exit Button Connection: Connect the exit button wires to the 'PUSH' and 'GND' terminals on the power supply controller.
• Optional Connections: The controller also provides terminals for 'NO' (Normally Open), 'NC' (Normally Closed), and 'COM' (Common) for integration with other access control devices if needed.

6. Operation

6.1. Basic Operation

Once installed and wired correctly, apply power to the system. The magnetic lock will engage, securing the door.

• To Exit: Press the stainless steel exit button. The magnetic lock will disengage for the set duration (0-15 seconds), allowing the door to be opened.
• Remote Control: Press the button on the remote control to temporarily disengage the magnetic lock.

6.2. Tuya App Remote Control Setup

The system integrates with the Tuya Smart App for remote access control.

1. Download Tuya App: Download and install the Tuya Smart App from your smartphone's app store.
2. Register/Login: Create an account or log in to your existing Tuya account.
3. Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. The power supply controller should be discoverable when in pairing mode (refer to the controller's LED 2 indicator).
4. Connect to Wi-Fi: Connect the device to your home or business Wi-Fi network.
5. Remote Unlock: Once connected, you can use the Tuya App to remotely unlock the door from anywhere with an internet connection.

6.3. Remote Controller Pairing

To add new remote controls or re-pair existing ones:

1. Enter Pairing Mode: Locate the remote control function setting button/jumper on the power supply controller (refer to section 3.2, LED 1). Activate pairing mode.
2. Press Remote Button: While the controller is in pairing mode, press any button on the remote control you wish to pair. The LED indicator on the controller should confirm successful pairing.
3. Exit Pairing Mode: The controller will automatically exit pairing mode after a short period or can be manually exited.

6.4. Adjusting Unlock Timer

The unlock duration can be adjusted using the potentiometer on the power supply controller.

• Locate Potentiometer: Identify the 'TIMER ADJ' potentiometer on the power supply controller (refer to section 3.2).
• Adjust Time: Use a small screwdriver to rotate the potentiometer. Clockwise rotation increases the unlock time from 0 to 15 seconds. Counter-clockwise rotation decreases the time.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your access control system.

• Clean Components: Periodically wipe down the magnetic lock, armature plate, and exit button with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Check Wiring: Annually inspect all wiring connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose terminals. Tighten connections as necessary.
• Magnetic Lock Alignment: Ensure the magnetic lock and armature plate remain properly aligned. Misalignment can reduce holding force and cause premature wear.
• Test Functionality: Regularly test the exit button, remote controls, and Tuya App functionality to confirm the system is operating correctly.
