1. Introduction and Overview

The SimPure Y9T UV Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filter provides advanced 6-stage purification for clean, safe drinking water. This system is designed for convenience with zero installation required, making it suitable for kitchens, apartments, and offices. It effectively removes 99.99% of over 1,000 harmful contaminants, including heavy metals, chlorine, fluoride, and PFOA/PFOS, delivering near-zero TDS water. The unit features a 300 GPD filtration capacity for a fast and continuous water supply, and includes UV sterilization for enhanced water quality. Its compact design and side-mounted water tank simplify refilling and maintenance.

2. Product Components

Your SimPure Y9T system includes the main unit, a removable water tank, pre-installed filters, and a magnetic drip tray. Familiarize yourself with these components before setup.

3. Setup

1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including any protective films or tape.
2. Placement: Place the SimPure Y9T on a stable, flat countertop. Ensure there is at least 16 inches of vertical clearance above the unit to allow for easy removal and refilling of the side water tank.
3. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet. The unit's display will illuminate.
4. Initial Flushing: Before first use, it is crucial to flush the system 3-5 times to remove any manufacturing residues and prepare the filters. Fill the water tank with tap water, then press the 'Flushing' button on the control panel. Allow the tank to completely empty through the dispenser. Discard this water. Repeat this process 3-5 times.
5. Install Drip Tray: Attach the magnetic drip tray to the base of the unit below the dispenser.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Fill Water Tank: Remove the side-mounted water tank by lifting its handle. Fill it with tap water up to the 'MAX' line. Place the tank back onto the unit, ensuring it is securely seated and the seal is engaged.
2. Dispense Water: Place your glass or container on the drip tray beneath the dispenser. Press the 'Dispense' button (water drop icon) on the control panel. Water will begin to flow. Press the button again to stop dispensing.
3. UV Sterilization: The unit automatically activates UV sterilization during the purification process, indicated by a 'UV' light on the display, ensuring high-quality water.
4. Flushing Function: The system performs automatic flushing. For manual flushing, which can extend filter lifespan, press and hold the 'Flushing' button for 3 seconds. This circulates water through the membranes to clean them.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Filter Replacement

The SimPure Y9T features indicator lights on the control panel for each filter (PPC, RO, T33). When a filter light flashes, it indicates that the filter needs replacement. The UV filter has a longer lifespan and does not have a flashing indicator.

1. Access Filters: Unplug the unit. Remove the top cover. Pull the clips to release the side panel, revealing the filters.
2. Replace Filter: To remove a filter, lift it slightly, rotate it counter-clockwise, and pull it out. Insert the new filter by aligning it, pushing it in, and rotating clockwise until it locks into place.
3. Reset Filter Life: After replacing a filter, press and hold the 'Reset' button on the control panel for 3 seconds until the corresponding filter light stops flashing.
4. Filter Lifespan:
   • PPC (Composite Filter): Up to 6 months
   • RO (Reverse Osmosis Membrane): Up to 9 months
   • T33 (Post Carbon Filter): Up to 6 months
   • UV Filter: Up to 8 years

5.2 Cleaning

• Waste Water Tank: The system produces waste water, which collects in the lower part of the main unit. When the 'Change Water' indicator appears on the display, empty and clean this tank.
• Drip Tray: Regularly empty and clean the magnetic drip tray to prevent water buildup.
• Check Valves: Periodically inspect and clean the check valves located at the bottom of the water tank to prevent mineral buildup and ensure proper function. A small tool is provided for easy removal and cleaning.

6. Troubleshooting

• Low Water Flow: Check if the water tank is sufficiently filled. Ensure filters are not clogged and are properly installed. Perform a manual flush.
• Unusual Taste/Odor: Perform several flushing cycles. Ensure filters are not expired and replace if necessary. Clean the water tank and check valves.
• Indicator Lights: Flashing filter lights indicate a filter needs replacement. The 'Change Water' indicator means the waste water tank needs to be emptied.
• Unit Not Dispensing: Check power connection. Ensure the water tank is correctly seated.
