Figure 2: Connection Diagram
This image illustrates how to connect multiple input devices to the HDMI switch and then connect the switch to a single output display. It shows a laptop, game console, and other devices feeding into the switch, which then outputs to a large screen TV.
Important Note: For optimal performance, especially with 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz, ensure all HDMI cables used are certified HDMI 2.1 Ultra High Speed cables.
5. Operating Instructions
The JCHICI HDMI Switch offers three methods for switching between input sources:

Figure 3: Switching Methods
This image visually demonstrates the three ways to switch inputs on the HDMI switch: by pressing the physical button on the device, using the included remote control, or through the automatic switching feature.
5.1 Button Switching
Press the 'Switch' button on the front panel of the HDMI switch to cycle through the connected input sources (Input 1, Input 2, Input 3, Input 4, Input 5, then back to Input 1).
5.2 Remote Control Switching
Use the included IR remote control to select your desired input source directly. Point the remote towards the IR receiver on the switch and press the corresponding number button (1-5) for the input you wish to select.
5.3 Automatic Switching
The switch features an intelligent auto-switching function. When a new HDMI source device is powered on or connected, the switch will automatically detect the signal and switch to that input. If multiple devices are active, it will prioritize the most recently activated signal. You can also lock the switch in manual mode to prevent unintended automatic switching, which is useful for gaming or presentations.
Note: The remote control requires a CR2025 battery (not included).
6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your JCHICI HDMI Switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the switch. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols, as they may damage the device.
- Ventilation: Ensure the switch is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the switch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Management: Avoid bending or kinking HDMI cables excessively, as this can damage the internal wiring and affect signal quality.
