3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts listed in the packing list are present and undamaged. The package includes the pool pump, two 1.5-inch PVC pipe fittings, two 2-inch PVC pipe fittings, two 1.25-inch to 1.5-inch PVC hose fittings, and this manual.

3.2 Voltage Selection

Your Leomru pool pump is dual voltage compatible (115V or 230V). The voltage adjustment button is integrated into the pump motor. Before connecting the pump to power, ensure the voltage switch is set to match your electrical supply (115V or 230V). Incorrect voltage selection can damage the pump.

3.3 Plumbing Connections

The pump comes with female and slip union connections for tool-free installation. Use the appropriate PVC pipe fittings (1.5-inch or 2-inch) or PVC hose fittings (1.25-inch to 1.5-inch) to connect the pump to your pool's plumbing system. Ensure all connections are secure and watertight to prevent leaks and maintain optimal performance.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Priming the Pump

Before starting the pump for the first time, or after the pump has been drained, it is crucial to prime it. Remove the transparent lid of the strainer basket and fill the basket and pump housing with water until it overflows. Replace the lid securely. This ensures the pump does not run dry, which can cause significant damage.

4.2 Starting the Pump

Once primed and all connections are secure, connect the pump to the appropriate power supply. The pump will begin to operate, circulating water. The advanced impeller design ensures a maximum speed of 3450 revolutions per minute (r/m) and a stable flow output.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient performance of your pool pump.

5.1 Cleaning the Strainer Basket

The pump is equipped with an extra-large, detachable strainer basket designed to capture debris and protect the pump's internal components. The see-through lid allows for easy visual inspection of the basket's contents. When the basket appears full, or flow rate decreases, turn off the pump, remove the lid, empty the basket, and rinse it thoroughly. Reinstall the basket and secure the lid before restarting the pump.

5.2 Draining the Pump

For winterization or extended periods of non-use, the pump features a convenient drain plug at the bottom. Turn off the pump, disconnect power, and open the drain plug to discharge any remaining water. This prevents freezing damage and helps maintain the pump's integrity.
