1. Introduction

This device converts any standard ratchet wrench into a precise digital torque wrench, providing accurate torque measurements for various applications. It features a wide torque range of 10-200 Nm, a precision of ±2%, and supports both clockwise and counter-clockwise measurements. The adapter includes a clear LCD color screen, a dual alarm system (LED and buzzer), and multiple unit conversions to meet diverse industrial standards. 2. Product Overview and Components

The ATsafepro Digital Torque Adapter is designed for ease of use and accuracy. Familiarize yourself with its components and controls:

  • Digital Torque Adapter: The main unit with LCD display and control buttons.
  • 1/4" Adapter: For use with 1/4 inch drive sockets.
  • 3/8" Adapter: For use with 3/8 inch drive sockets.

Key Controls:

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the adapter.
  2. Use the provided screwdriver to open the battery compartment.
  3. Insert the required alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Securely close the battery compartment cover.

3.2 Attaching to a Ratchet Wrench

The digital torque adapter is designed to be used with a standard ratchet wrench.

  1. Select the appropriate adapter (1/4", 3/8", or use the 1/2" drive directly) for your socket size.
  2. Insert the square drive of the digital torque adapter into the drive of your ratchet wrench.
  3. Attach your desired socket to the output drive of the digital torque adapter.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on, briefly press the C button.
  • To power off, long press the C button.

4.2 Mode Selection (Peak / Track)

Press the P/T button to switch between Peak mode and Track mode.

  • Peak Mode (P): Displays the maximum torque value achieved during the tightening process. The display will hold this peak value until reset or a higher peak is reached.
  • Track Mode (T): Displays the torque value in real-time as it is being applied.

4.3 Unit Selection

Press the U button to cycle through the available torque units:

  • Newton-meters (Nm)
  • Foot-pounds (ft-lb)
  • Inch-pounds (in-lb)
  • Kilogram-centimeters (kg-cm)
  • Kilogram-meters (kg-m)

4.4 Setting Target Torque and Presets (P1-P9)

The adapter allows you to preset up to 9 target torque values (P1-P9) for quick recall.

  1. Use the and buttons to select a preset slot (P1-P9).
  2. Press the M button to confirm the selected preset slot.
  3. Use the and buttons to adjust the desired torque value for that preset.
  4. Press the M button again to save the new torque value to the preset slot.

4.5 Dual Alarm System

The adapter provides visual and audible alerts as you approach and reach your target torque:

  • 80% Target Torque: Green LED light illuminates, accompanied by an intermittent beep.
  • 90% Target Torque: Yellow LED light illuminates, accompanied by an intermittent beep.
  • 100% Target Torque: Red LED light illuminates, accompanied by a continuous beep.

4.6 Data Storage and Query

The adapter can store up to 500 torque values. To query stored data, press the M button while in a non-setting mode. Use the and buttons to navigate through the stored records.

4.7 General Usage

Once the adapter is set up and the target torque is configured, apply force to your ratchet wrench. The display will show the real-time torque (in Track mode) or the peak torque (in Peak mode). The alarm system will guide you to the target torque, helping to prevent overtightening.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the adapter with a clean, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the display or casing. Ensure no liquids enter the device.

5.2 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator on the display shows low power, replace the batteries promptly to ensure accurate readings. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1.

5.3 Storage

Store the digital torque adapter in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

6. Troubleshooting
