Maintenance
Battery Management
The Devo Smart Lock G2 operates on 8 AA batteries (not included). Under normal usage, batteries typically last approximately six months. The lock features a low battery warning system that will alert you via the app and on the lock itself when batteries need replacement. In case of complete battery depletion, an external USB-C power bank can be connected to the emergency charging port on the exterior unit to provide temporary power for unlocking with a code or fingerprint. Always replace all 8 batteries simultaneously with new, high-quality alkaline batteries.

Cleaning
To clean your smart lock, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. Do not spray cleaning solutions directly onto the lock.
Troubleshooting

| Lock not responding/powering on | Dead batteries, incorrect battery installation. | Replace all 8 AA batteries. Ensure correct polarity. Use the USB-C emergency power port if needed. |
| Cannot connect to Wi-Fi or App | Incorrect Wi-Fi band (requires 2.4 GHz), weak signal, incorrect password, app pairing issue. | Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz signal and your phone is connected to it during setup. Check Wi-Fi password. Restart the app and lock. Refer to the app connection video. |
| Fingerprint not recognized | Fingerprint not properly registered, dirty sensor, wet finger. | Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint in the app. Clean the sensor. |
| Keypad code not working | Incorrect code, code not activated, anti-peeping feature misunderstood. | Verify the code in the app. Ensure the code is active. Try entering random digits before and after your actual code. |
| Lock is difficult to configure (as mentioned in customer feedback) | Complexity of initial setup, especially with Wi-Fi or app pairing. | Carefully follow the app's instructions and the provided videos for Wi-Fi and app connection.
