5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

1. Align the battery pack with the grooves on the back of the radio.
2. Slide the battery upwards until it clicks into place.
3. To remove, press the battery release latch and slide the battery downwards.

5.2 Antenna Attachment

1. Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is finger-tight.
2. Do not overtighten.

5.3 Charging the Battery

The DM-32 supports convenient charging via USB Type-C, allowing for direct charging, car charging, or power bank charging.

1. Insert the USB Type-C cable into the charging port on the side of the radio.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the power adapter or a compatible USB power source.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will change color or turn off when charging is complete.

5.4 Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise until you hear a click and the display illuminates.
• To Power Off: Rotate the Power/Volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the display turns off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Operation

• Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Power/Volume knob to adjust the audio output level.
• Channel/Frequency Selection: Use the Up/Down arrow keys or the keypad to navigate through channels or input frequencies.
• Transmit (PTT): Press and hold the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio to transmit. Release to receive.

6.2 Power Output Adjustment

The DM-32 offers three power settings: 10W (High), 5W (Medium), and 1W (Low). These can be adjusted via the radio's menu or a programmable side key to conserve battery or optimize range.

6.3 DMR Features

The DM-32 utilizes TDMA dual-time slot technology, effectively doubling user capacity on a single frequency. It supports various DMR calling methods:
