The VCHICS Tuya Smart Key Safe offers secure storage for keys and small valuables, featuring dual unlocking methods: a numerical password and control via the Tuya Smart APP. Its durable aluminum alloy construction and waterproof design make it suitable for various indoor and outdoor applications.

Setup and Installation

1. Battery Installation

1. Open the key safe door.
2. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the inside of the door or back panel.
3. Insert 4 new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Wall Mounting

1. Choose a suitable location for mounting. Ensure the surface is solid and can support the weight of the safe.
2. Mark the drilling points on the wall using the safe's mounting holes as a template.
3. Drill holes at the marked points.
4. Insert wall anchors into the drilled holes (if required for your wall type).
5. Align the safe with the holes and secure it to the wall using the provided screws.

3. Tuya Smart APP Connection

1. Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" APP from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Register or log in to your account.
3. Open the APP and tap "+" to add a new device.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the key safe with your smartphone via Bluetooth. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
5. Once connected, you can manage the key safe through the APP.

Operating Instructions

1. Unlocking with Password

1. Enter your 6-10 digit password on the keypad.
2. Press the unlock button (usually a checkmark or lock icon) to confirm.
3. The safe door will unlock, allowing you to open it.
4. To lock, simply close the door firmly.

Note: The initial password can be set or changed via the Tuya Smart APP.

2. Unlocking with Tuya Smart APP

1. Ensure your smartphone is within Bluetooth range of the key safe.
2. Open the Tuya Smart APP and select your key safe device.
3. Tap the "Unlock" button within the app interface.
4. The safe door will unlock. Close the door to re-lock.

The app also allows for dynamic password generation, remote unlocking (with a Bluetooth gateway, if applicable), and access record checking.

3. Storing Keys and Cards

The key safe provides ample space for storing multiple keys and access cards. Place items neatly inside the compartment to ensure the door closes properly.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

When the battery level is low, the key safe may indicate this with a warning light or sound, and the APP will display a low battery notification. Replace all 4 AAA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

2. Access the battery compartment.
3. Remove old batteries and insert new AAA batteries, observing polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the key safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

3. Water Resistance

The key safe is designed to be waterproof. However, ensure the door is fully closed and sealed to maintain its water-resistant properties, especially when installed outdoors.

Troubleshooting

• Keypad not responding: Check battery level. Replace batteries if low. Ensure no debris is obstructing buttons.
• Cannot unlock with password: Verify the entered password is correct. Ensure the unlock button is pressed after entering the code. If forgotten, reset via the Tuya Smart APP.
• APP connection issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the key safe is within range. Restart the APP or your phone. Re-pair the device if necessary.
• Door not closing properly: Check for any obstructions inside the safe. Ensure keys or cards are not preventing the door from sealing completely.
• Low battery warning: Replace all 4 AAA batteries immediately to avoid loss of function.
