  • Power Cycle: If the device experiences issues, try power cycling it by unplugging the power cable, waiting 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the switch and a working power outlet. Check if the power adapter is functioning correctly.
  • No Network Connectivity: Verify that all Ethernet cables are securely connected to the switch and the respective devices. Check the status LEDs on the switch ports; a solid or blinking light indicates an active connection. Ensure your router/modem is functioning correctly.
  • Slow Network Speed: Confirm that all connected devices and cables support Gigabit Ethernet speeds. Check for excessive network traffic or potential bottlenecks. Utilize QoS settings to prioritize critical traffic.
  • Management Interface Unreachable: Ensure the switch is powered on and connected to your network. Verify your device (computer/smartphone) is on the same network segment as the switch. Check the IP address settings if configured manually.
  • Intermittent Connection: Inspect Ethernet cables for damage. Ensure the switch is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.
