- To Remove: Press the battery release button (located on the battery pack) and slide the battery pack out.
Installing/Removing Drill Bits:
- Ensure the drill driver is switched OFF and the battery pack is removed.
- Grasp the rear portion of the chuck with one hand and rotate the front portion counter-clockwise to open the chuck jaws.
- Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck. Ensure the bit is centered.
- Rotate the front portion of the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws securely around the bit. The ratcheting mechanism will click when tightened.
- To Remove: Reverse the tightening process by rotating the front portion counter-clockwise.
6. Operating Instructions
Selecting Torque and Mode:
The torque adjustment ring allows you to select the appropriate torque setting for your application or choose the drill mode.
- Torque Settings (1-17): Rotate the ring to a lower number for driving small screws into soft materials, and to a higher number for driving larger screws into harder materials. The clutch will disengage at the selected torque to prevent over-driving or stripping.
- Drill Mode (Drill Icon): Select this mode for drilling holes. In drill mode, the clutch does not engage, providing maximum torque.
Variable Speed Trigger:
The trigger switch controls the speed of the drill. Pressing the trigger further increases the speed. This allows for precise control over drilling and driving applications.
Forward/Reverse Selector:
The forward/reverse selector switch is located above the trigger. Push it to the left for forward rotation (drilling/driving) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws/bits). Center the switch to lock the trigger and prevent accidental starting.
LED Worklight:
The integrated LED worklight automatically illuminates when the trigger is pressed, providing visibility in dimly lit areas. It features a pre-light and after-glow function, staying on for a short period after the trigger is released.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool.
Cleaning:
- Always remove the battery pack before cleaning.
- Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the tool. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Keep the ventilation openings clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating.
Storage:
- Store the drill driver, battery, and charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Ensure the battery is partially charged (not fully depleted or fully charged) before long-term storage.
