Installation Steps:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the box.
- Choose Location: Select an optimal mounting location on a vertical or horizontal surface that provides a clear view and is within reach of a standard power outlet.
- Mount Camera: Use the provided installation hardware to securely mount the camera.
- Connect Power: Plug the USB-C Outdoor Power Adapter into the camera and then into a standard power outlet.

Operating Instructions
Live View and Two-Way Talk:
Access a real-time video feed from your camera through the Ring app. Utilize the Two-Way Talk with Audio+ feature to communicate with visitors or deter unwanted activity directly from your smartphone.

Motion Detection:
The camera features advanced 3D Motion Detection, allowing you to pinpoint motion on your property for more precise alerts. Customize motion zones within the Ring app to focus on specific areas and reduce unnecessary notifications.

Spotlights and Low-Light Sight:
The integrated 600 lumen motion-activated spotlights illuminate smaller outdoor areas, helping to deter intruders and provide clear video. With Low-Light Sight, the camera can capture full-color video in near-dark conditions, even when the spotlights are off, utilizing ambient light.

Retinal 4K Video and Enhanced Zoom:
Record and view video in Retinal 4K resolution, capturing fine details. The camera also features up to 10x Enhanced Zoom, allowing you to magnify specific areas of the video feed for closer inspection. Video quality may vary based on internet bandwidth and device temperature.

Remote-Activated Siren:
In the event of suspicious activity, you can activate the 85dB security siren remotely through the Ring app to alert others and deter intruders.
Maintenance
Cleaning:
To maintain optimal performance and image clarity, gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the device.
Software Updates:
Ensure your device's software is up to date for the best performance and security. Software security updates are provided periodically. You can check for and manage updates through the Ring app or by visiting the Software Security Updates section in the Ring Control Center.
Environmental Conditions:
The camera is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C) and is weather resistant. However, direct sunlight in extreme heat conditions may cause the camera to temporarily turn off to prevent overheating.
Troubleshooting
No Power or Connectivity:
- Verify that the Outdoor Power Adapter is securely plugged into both the camera and a functioning standard power outlet.
- Check your Wi-Fi connection. The camera supports Wifi 6 (802.11ax) and dual-band connections (2.4GHz, 5.0GHz). Ensure your router is functioning correctly and the camera is within range.
- If issues persist, try restarting the camera by unplugging and re-plugging the power adapter.
Poor Video Quality:
- Video quality can be affected by internet bandwidth. A recommended minimum upload speed of 15 Mbps is suggested for optimal performance.
- Device temperature can also influence video quality. Ensure the camera is not exposed to extreme heat or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Check for any obstructions on the camera lens and clean it if necessary.
Motion Detection Issues:
- Review your 3D Motion Detection settings and customizable motion zones within the Ring app. Adjust sensitivity and zone boundaries as needed.
- Ensure there are no physical obstructions blocking the camera's field of view.
Audio or Siren Problems:
- For Two-Way Talk, ensure your device's microphone and speaker are enabled in the Ring app.
- If the siren is not activating, confirm that the remote activation feature is enabled in the Ring app.
