Setup Instructions

1. Battery Charging and Installation

  1. Connect the 21V/1A charger to a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Insert the 18V Li-Ion battery pack into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show charging status.
  3. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the charger.
  4. Open the battery compartment cover on the sprayer.
  5. Insert the charged battery pack into the compartment, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
  6. Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Nozzle and Hose Connection

  1. Attach the desired TeeJet-style nozzle to the spray wand. Ensure it is securely tightened to prevent leaks.
  2. Connect the spray hose to the outlet port at the base of the sprayer. Hand-tighten until snug.

3. Filling the Tank

  1. Ensure the sprayer is on a level surface.
  2. Unscrew the tank cap and remove it.
  3. Carefully pour the desired liquid (water, herbicide, pesticide, etc.) into the 4-gallon tank. Do not overfill.
  4. Securely replace the tank cap, ensuring a tight seal.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On and Off

Locate the single pressure ON/OFF toggle switch on the side of the sprayer. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to activate the pump. Flip to 'OFF' to deactivate.

2. Spraying Techniques and Nozzle Selection

The Zephyr sprayer offers optimized flow capabilities, with a minimum flow rate of 0.20 GPM, making it suitable for various applications.

  • Adjustable Nozzle: Provides a versatile spray pattern from a fine mist to a solid stream. Rotate the nozzle head to adjust.
  • Fan Nozzles (45˚ and 80˚): Ideal for broad coverage, such as general maintenance, weed control, or applying fertilizers.
  • Pin Stream Nozzle (0˚): Delivers a concentrated stream for spot treatments or reaching distant targets up to 20 feet.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning After Use

To ensure longevity and prevent chemical residue buildup, flush the sprayer with clean water after every use. Do not leave solvents or chemicals in the tank for extended periods.

  1. Empty any remaining chemical solution from the tank.
  2. Fill the tank with clean water.
  3. Operate the sprayer for a few minutes, spraying the clean water through the wand and nozzle.
  4. Repeat if necessary until all chemical traces are removed.
  5. Clean the exterior of the sprayer with a damp cloth.

2. Storage

Store the sprayer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Remove the battery pack if storing for an extended period.
