The foundation kit provides a base structure. You will need to add a suitable size board on top of the foundation to create a solid floor, keeping the inner area clean and sealed.

4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the Outsunny storage shed requires careful attention to detail and is best performed by at least three people. Refer to the separate, detailed step-by-step assembly instructions provided with your product for specific guidance on connecting each component.

4.1 Site Preparation

  • Select a flat, level, and dry area for the shed.
  • Clear the area of any debris, rocks, or vegetation.
  • Ensure there is enough space around the shed for assembly and future access.

4.2 General Assembly Tips

  • Organize all parts before starting.
  • Do not fully tighten all screws until the entire structure is assembled and aligned.
  • Use a cordless drill with appropriate settings for efficiency, but be careful not to overtighten screws.
  • Pay close attention to the orientation of panels and frame pieces as indicated in the assembly guide.
  • Avoid assembly during strong winds or adverse weather conditions.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your Outsunny storage shed.

  • Cleaning: Clean the shed exterior periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
  • Rust Prevention: Although the shed is made of rust-resistant galvanized steel, inspect for any signs of rust, especially in areas where the coating might be scratched. Touch up any affected areas with rust-inhibiting paint.
  • Door Tracks: Keep the sliding door tracks clean and free of dirt, leaves, or other debris to ensure smooth operation. Lubricate tracks with a silicone-based spray if doors become stiff.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Retighten as necessary.
  • Ventilation: Ensure vents are clear of obstructions to maintain proper airflow.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Difficulty with Assembly / Misaligned Holes: Ensure all panels are correctly oriented according to the detailed assembly guide. Do not fully tighten screws until all components are loosely fitted. If holes do not align, slightly loosen surrounding fasteners to allow for adjustment.
  • Doors Sticking: Check the door tracks for debris and clean them thoroughly. Apply a silicone lubricant to the tracks. Ensure the shed is installed on a level surface, as an uneven foundation can cause door misalignment.
  • Water Leakage: Verify that all screws are tightened and panels are properly overlapped as per instructions. Ensure the foundation is level and that a suitable floorboard has been installed to seal the base. Check for any gaps around the roof or seams and apply appropriate sealant if necessary.
  • Flimsy Structure: Ensure all fasteners are securely tightened. The shed's stability relies on the complete and correct assembly of all components.
