1. Introduction
The Hotone Ampero II Stage is a multi-effects pedal processor designed for guitarists and vocalists, suitable for live performances and studio recording. It features a triple-core digital platform and ESS Sabre series AD/DA converters for high-quality audio processing. This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Ampero II Stage unit.

2. Setup
2.1 Power Connection
Connect the included 9V DC power adapter to the 'POWER' input on the rear panel of the Ampero II Stage. Ensure the power switch is in the 'OFF' position before connecting, then switch to 'ON' to power the unit.
2.2 Instrument and Microphone Inputs
The Ampero II Stage offers a stereo input configuration. The right channel features a Combo input, supporting both line-level instruments and microphones. This input provides 48V phantom power and up to 52dB of gain for dynamic and condenser microphones. Five distinct input modes are available, suitable for guitars, basses, synthesizers, and vocals.
- Input L (Mono): Connect your instrument (e.g., guitar, bass) here for mono input.
- Input R (Combo): Connect a second instrument or a microphone (XLR or 1/4" TRS) here.
2.3 Output Connections
The unit provides balanced and unbalanced stereo outputs for connecting to PA systems, audio interfaces, or stage monitors. Independent signal processing and volume control are available for these outputs.
- Unbalanced Outputs (L/MONO, R): Use 1/4" TS cables to connect to guitar amplifiers or other unbalanced inputs.
- Balanced Outputs (L/MONO, R): Use XLR cables to connect to PA systems or mixing consoles.
2.4 FX Loop
The stereo FX Loop (SEND/RETURN) allows integration of external effects pedals into your signal chain.
2.5 USB Audio Interface
Connect the Ampero II Stage to a computer via the USB port for 8x8 USB audio functionality, supporting variable sampling rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz. This enables recording and streaming applications.
2.6 Expansion Jacks
Dual TRS EXP/CTRL expansion jacks (1 and 2) are available for connecting external control devices, such as expression pedals or external footswitches.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Operating Modes: PATCH and STOMP
The Ampero II Stage features two primary operating modes: PATCH and STOMP. Each mode has a dedicated indicator and a mode-switching footswitch. In STOMP mode, the seven footswitches can be customized to control individual or multiple effect modules. Both modes provide different display options.
