  • GAIN Knob: Adjusts the input sensitivity for the connected microphone or instrument. Set this to achieve a strong signal without clipping (PEAK LED should not light up consistently).
  • EQ (Equalizer) Knobs:
    • HIGH: Adjusts treble frequencies (typically above 12kHz).
    • MID: Adjusts mid-range frequencies (typically 250Hz to 6kHz).
    • LOW: Adjusts bass frequencies (typically below 80Hz).

  • PFL Button: Pre-Fader Listen. Sends the channel's signal to the headphones for monitoring before it reaches the main mix.

5.2 Master Section Controls

  • MAIN L/R Faders: Control the overall volume of the main stereo output.
  • PHONES Knob: Adjusts the volume of the headphone output.
  • EFF Fader: Controls the overall level of the internal effects return to the main mix.

5.3 DSP Effects (99-Bit)

The mixer includes a 99-bit DSP effects processor. Use the PROGRAM knob to select from various effects (e.g., reverb, delay, chorus). The digital display shows the selected effect number. Adjust the FX knobs on individual channels to send signal to the effects processor, and the EFF fader to control the overall effect level.

5.4 USB Recording and MP3 Playback

The integrated USB player/recorder allows for direct recording to a USB drive and playback of MP3 files.

  1. Insert a USB drive into the USB port.
  2. Use the control buttons (Play/Pause, Next, Previous, Mode) on the USB player section to navigate and control playback.
  3. To record, select the recording mode on the USB player and press the record button. The main mix will be recorded to the USB drive.

5.6 +48V Phantom Power

The mixer provides +48V phantom power for condenser microphones. This power is supplied through the XLR inputs.

  • Ensure all channel faders are down before activating phantom power.
  • Press the +48V PHANTOM button to activate. The LED indicator will illuminate.
  • Only activate phantom power when using condenser microphones that require it. Do not activate it for dynamic microphones or other devices that do not require it, as it could cause damage.
  • Deactivate phantom power before connecting or disconnecting microphones.

5.7 Channel Signal Attenuation (PAD)

Some channels may feature a PAD button (typically -20dB). This button attenuates the input signal by a fixed amount (e.g., 20dB) to prevent clipping when connecting high-output sources. Use it when the GAIN knob is at its minimum setting, but the PEAK LED still flashes.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the mixer. Do not use liquid cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the mixer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Cover the unit to protect it from dust.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the mixer's ventilation openings are not blocked to prevent overheating.
