3. Setup and Installation

3.1. Isofix Base Installation

The Isofix base provides a secure and stable foundation for the infant car seat. Always install the base in the rear seat of your vehicle.

1. Place the Isofix base on the vehicle seat.
2. Locate your vehicle's Isofix anchor points.
3. Extend the Isofix connectors from the base by pressing the release buttons (if applicable) and pulling them out.
4. Align the Isofix connectors with the vehicle's anchor points and push firmly until they click into place. Green indicators should appear, confirming correct attachment.
5. Push the base firmly against the vehicle seat back to ensure a tight fit.
6. Adjust the support leg to the vehicle floor, ensuring it is fully extended and stable. A green indicator on the support leg confirms correct positioning.
7. Verify that the base is securely installed by attempting to move it. It should not move more than a few millimeters.

3.2. Infant Car Seat Attachment

Once the Isofix base is securely installed, attach the infant car seat:

1. Place the infant car seat onto the installed Isofix base.
2. Push down firmly until you hear an audible 'click' and the indicators on the base turn green, confirming the car seat is locked into place.
3. Always check that the car seat is securely attached to the base by lifting it slightly.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Securing Your Child

1. Place your child in the car seat. Ensure their back is flat against the backrest.
2. Bring the two harness buckles together and insert them into the central buckle until you hear a 'click'.
3. Pull the harness adjustment strap to tighten the harness. Ensure it is snug against your child's body, with no slack. You should only be able to fit one finger between the harness and your child's collarbone.
4. Check that the shoulder straps are at or just below your child's shoulders. Adjust the headrest and harness height as needed.

4.2. Adjusting the Headrest and Harness

The headrest and harness system can be adjusted simultaneously to 5 positions to accommodate your growing child. Locate the adjustment lever at the back of the headrest and lift it to move the headrest up or down. Ensure the shoulder straps are at the correct height for your child.

4.3. Adjusting the Carry Handle

The ergonomic carry handle has multiple positions. Press the buttons on both sides of the handle simultaneously to adjust its position. Ensure the handle is locked securely in place before lifting or carrying the car seat.

4.4. Sun Canopy

The large, adjustable sun canopy can be extended or retracted to provide shade and protection for your child. Simply pull it forward or push it back as needed.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning the Cover

The car seat cover is removable and washable. To remove, unfasten all straps and clips. Wash the cover by hand or in a washing machine at 30 degrees Celsius using a mild detergent. Do not tumble dry, bleach, or iron. Allow to air dry completely before reattaching.

5.2. Cleaning the Base and Harness

Wipe plastic parts of the car seat and Isofix base with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Clean the harness straps with a damp cloth; do not immerse them in water, as this can weaken the material.

6. Troubleshooting

• Car seat not clicking onto base: Ensure the Isofix base is correctly installed and the indicators are green. Check for any obstructions between the car seat and the base.
• Harness too loose/tight: Refer to section 4.1 for instructions on adjusting the harness length and height. Ensure no twists in the straps.
• Isofix connectors not engaging: Ensure the connectors are fully extended and aligned with the vehicle's anchor points. Push firmly until you hear a click and see green indicators.
• Support leg not stable: Ensure the support leg is fully extended to the vehicle floor and locked into position. Adjust its length until the indicator turns green.
