This manual provides essential information for the safe and correct installation, use, and maintenance of your car seat set.

2. Safety Information
Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before using the car seat set. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death.
- Always install the car seat in a rear-facing position when used with the Isofix base or vehicle seat belt.
- Never use the car seat on a passenger seat equipped with an active front airbag.
- Ensure the child is securely fastened in the 3-point harness at all times. The harness straps should be snug against the child's body, and the chest clip positioned at armpit level.
- Do not modify the car seat or Isofix base in any way.
- Regularly check for wear and tear on the car seat, harness, and Isofix base. Discontinue use if any damage is found.
- In the event of an accident, even a minor one, the car seat and base must be replaced, as unseen damage may compromise their safety.
- Never leave your child unattended in the car seat.

4. Setup and Installation
4.1. Isofix Base Installation
The Royal i-Size Isofix Base provides a secure and convenient installation method for your car seat.
- Position the Isofix base on the vehicle seat.
- Extend the Isofix connectors by pressing the release buttons (usually red or grey) and pulling them outwards.
- Align the Isofix connectors with the Isofix anchor points in your vehicle and push firmly until they click into place. Green indicators should appear, confirming correct attachment.
- Push the base firmly against the vehicle seat back to ensure a tight fit.
- Extend the support leg until it firmly touches the vehicle floor. Ensure the indicator on the support leg turns green.

4.2. Car Seat Attachment to Isofix Base
Once the Isofix base is securely installed, attach the infant car seat:
- Place the infant car seat onto the installed Isofix base.
- Push down firmly until you hear an audible 'click' and the indicators on the base turn green, confirming the car seat is correctly locked into place.
- Always check that the car seat is securely attached by gently pulling it upwards.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Securing Your Child
Properly securing your child in the car seat is crucial for their safety.
- Place your child in the car seat. Ensure their back is flat against the backrest.
- Bring the 3-point Y-harness over your child's shoulders and between their legs.
- Connect the two buckle tongues into the central buckle until you hear a 'click'.
- Pull the adjustment strap at the front of the car seat to tighten the harness. The harness should be snug, allowing only one finger to fit between the strap and your child's collarbone.
- Position the chest clip (if present) at armpit level.

5.2. Adjusting the Headrest and Harness Height
The headrest and harness height should be adjusted to your child's growth.
- The headrest is adjustable in 5 positions. To adjust, locate the adjustment lever (usually at the back or top of the headrest) and move it up or down until the shoulder straps are at or just below your child's shoulders.
- Ensure the harness straps are always at the correct height for optimal safety.
5.3. Adjusting the Carrying Handle
The ergonomic carrying handle can be adjusted to different positions for transport or stability.
- Press the buttons on both sides of the handle simultaneously to release the lock.
- Rotate the handle to the desired position until it clicks into place.
- Ensure the handle is locked in position before carrying the car seat.
5.4. Using the Sun Canopy
The large, adjustable sun canopy provides protection from sun and wind.
- Simply pull the canopy forward or push it back to adjust its position.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning the Cover
The car seat cover is removable and washable.
- Carefully remove the fabric cover from the car seat frame.
- Wash the cover in a washing machine at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron.
- Allow the cover to air dry completely before reattaching it to the car seat.
- Ensure all parts are correctly reassembled before using the car seat.
6.2. General Care
- Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Check the harness straps regularly for any signs of fraying or damage.
- Store the car seat and base in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
7. Troubleshooting
- Problem: Isofix connectors do not engage.
Solution: Ensure the connectors are fully extended and aligned correctly with the vehicle's Isofix anchor points. Push firmly until you hear a click and see green indicators. - Problem: Car seat does not click onto the Isofix base.
Solution: Verify that the Isofix base is securely installed. Ensure the car seat is correctly aligned with the base's attachment points and push down firmly. - Problem: Harness straps are too loose or too tight.
Solution: Adjust the harness length using the adjustment strap at the front of the car seat. Ensure the headrest is at the correct height so the shoulder straps are at or just below your child's shoulders. - Problem: Support leg indicator is not green.
Solution: Extend the support leg further until it makes firm contact with the vehicle floor and the indicator turns green.
