4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your projector for the first time.

4.1 Placement

The IN0048ST is a short-throw projector, designed to project a large image from a short distance. Place the projector on a stable, flat surface or mount it securely. Ensure the projection surface is clean and smooth.

  • Minimum Projection Distance: 15.75 inches
  • Maximum Projection Distance: 10.83 feet

4.2 Connecting Power

  1. Connect the regional power cord to the AC IN port on the rear of the projector.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4.3 Connecting Input Sources

The projector supports multiple input sources. Choose the appropriate cable for your device.

  • HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from your source device (e.g., laptop, Blu-ray player) to either HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 port on the projector.
  • VGA: Connect a VGA cable from your computer to the VGA IN port. For audio, connect a 3.5mm audio cable from your computer's audio output to the AUDIO IN port.
  • USB-A Power: The USB-A port provides 5V DC power for compatible devices, such as wireless display adapters. It does not support data transfer for projection.
  • RJ45 (Network): Connect an Ethernet cable for network control and management (Crestron Connected, PJLink, AMX, Extron compatible).
  • RS232: Use an RS232 cable for serial control from a control system.

4.4 Initial Power-On and Adjustment

  1. Press the Power button on the projector's control panel or remote control to turn on the projector.
  2. Adjust the focus ring around the lens until the image is clear and sharp.
  3. Use the keystone correction feature (up to 40° vertical) to square the image if the projector is not perfectly perpendicular to the screen. This can be adjusted via the on-screen display (OSD) menu.

5. Operating the Projector

This section covers basic operation and menu navigation.

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press the Power button once. The indicator light will turn blue.
  • Power Off: Press the Power button twice. The projector will go through a cool-down cycle before shutting down completely. Do not unplug the power cord during the cool-down cycle.

Press the 'Source' button on the control panel or remote control to cycle through available input sources (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, VGA, Video).
