Maintenance
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the steel frame for any signs of rust or damage. Inspect the cover for tears, punctures, or excessive wear. Address any issues promptly to maintain the greenhouse's integrity.
- Cleaning: Clean the polyethylene cover with mild soap and water as needed to ensure maximum light penetration. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Anchoring Check: Regularly verify that the fixing stakes and nylon cords are securely in place, especially after strong winds or heavy rainfall.
- UV Protection: While the cover is UV-resistant, prolonged exposure to intense direct sunlight can degrade materials over time. Consider relocating or providing additional shade during extreme summer heat if possible.
- Disassembly: If disassembling for storage, carefully reverse the assembly steps. Clean and dry all components before storing them in a cool, dry place to prevent mold or rust.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your VOUNOT Dome Greenhouse, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Greenhouse Instability: Ensure all frame connections are tight and the greenhouse is properly anchored with all stakes and nylon cords. Check for loose ground.
- Water Accumulation on Cover: The dome design is intended to prevent this. If water pools, check the frame for proper assembly and ensure the cover is taut and evenly distributed over the frame.
- Pest Entry: Ensure the zippered door is fully closed and the velcroed mosquito net is properly sealed. Inspect for any small tears in the cover.
