With its remote management capabilities, this key box is ideal for managing access to tourist apartments, rental homes, vehicles, sports facilities, construction sites, and more. It provides a convenient and secure solution for property access.
2. Product Overview
The KEEPER-E features a robust design with a backlit touch keypad for direct code entry and Bluetooth connectivity for mobile app management. It is constructed from durable metal with a PTA rubber back cover to prevent damage during wall mounting.

3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back or inside the key box.
- Insert the 4 x 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3.2. Wall Mounting
The KEEPER-E is designed for easy wall mounting. It has 4 pre-drilled holes on the back for secure fixation. Mounting screws and anchors are included.
- Choose a suitable location for installation. It is recommended to install the key box in a location protected from direct rain and sunlight to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Mark the positions for the 4 mounting holes on the wall using the key box as a template.
- Drill holes at the marked positions. Insert the provided wall anchors if necessary.
- Align the key box with the drilled holes and secure it to the wall using the provided screws.
4. Operating Instructions
The ARREGUI KEEPER-E can be operated via its integrated touch keypad or through the dedicated ARREGUI mobile application.
4.1. Mobile Application Management
The administrator or owner of the KEEPER-E can easily manage the key box via the ARREGUI mobile application, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
- Download the App: Search for "ARREGUI" in your device's app store and install the application.
- Account Creation/Login: Create a new account or log in with an existing one.
- Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add your KEEPER-E key box. This typically involves enabling Bluetooth on your phone and selecting the device from a list.
- Generate Temporary Codes: Through the application, you can define an unlimited number of temporary opening codes based on specific dates and times. These codes can be shared directly via mobile messaging.
- Manage Regular Users: The administrator can set up to 5 regular users with opening and access permissions based on specific days of the week and time slots. This is useful for cleaning staff, maintenance, or real estate agencies.
- View History: The app allows you to view the usage and opening history of the key box.
- Manage Multiple Units: With a single account, you can manage an unlimited number of KEEPER-E key boxes, assigning a name/alias to each for easy identification.
- Bluetooth Opening: You can open the key box directly with your mobile phone via Bluetooth when in range.
- Define Duress Code: The app allows you to define a duress code (via Bluetooth) for emergency situations.

4.2. Keypad Operation
To open the key box using the touch keypad:
- Enter the valid access code on the backlit touch keypad.
- Press the 'OK' button to confirm the code.
- The key box will unlock, allowing you to open the compartment.
5. Maintenance
5.1. Battery Replacement
The KEEPER-E is powered by 4 x 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries. When the battery level is low, the device may indicate this through the app or a visual cue on the keypad. Replace all four batteries simultaneously to ensure optimal performance.
5.2. Emergency Power Supply
In case the batteries are completely depleted and you cannot open the key box, an emergency power supply can be provided via a USB cable. Connect a standard USB cable to the designated port on the key box and a power source (e.g., power bank, USB charger) to temporarily power the unit and open it to replace the batteries.
5.3. Cleaning
To clean the key box, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the finish or electronic components.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ARREGUI KEEPER-E, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
- Cannot connect to the mobile app or Bluetooth:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Check the battery level of the key box. Low batteries can affect Bluetooth connectivity.
- Restart the ARREGUI application and/or your smartphone.
- Ensure your phone is within close proximity (Bluetooth range) of the key box.
- If you are trying to register the device, ensure you are entering the correct serial number.
- Access codes are not working:
- Double-check that you are entering the code correctly on the touch keypad.
- Verify the validity of temporary codes; they may have expired.
- Ensure the key box has sufficient power. Replace batteries if necessary.
- If using regular user codes, confirm that the current day and time are within the allowed access schedule.
- Key box not opening or closing properly:
- Check for any physical obstructions inside the key box compartment or around the locking mechanism.
- Ensure the mechanism is clean and free of debris.
- If the issue persists, try replacing the batteries.
- If the problem continues, contact ARREGUI customer support for further assistance.
- Short battery life:
- Ensure you are using high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Frequent use or extreme temperatures can affect battery life.
- Regularly check battery status via the mobile app and replace batteries proactively.
