6. Thread the needle from front to back. Pull about 15 cm (6 inches) of thread through the needle eye.

2. Insert the bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise).
3. Guide the bobbin thread through the tension spring and into the thread guide slot.
