6. Maintenance
6.1 Daily Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste:
- Drip Tray & Used Capsule Box: Empty and rinse daily. All removable accessories are dishwasher-safe.
- Water Tank: Rinse daily and refill with fresh water.
- Machine Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the machine in water.
6.2 Descaling
Descaling is crucial to remove mineral buildup and maintain machine efficiency. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage, but generally every 3-6 months is recommended.
- Prepare Descaling Solution: Mix a descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaler) according to the product instructions.
- Fill Water Tank: Pour the descaling solution into the water tank.
- Start Descaling Cycle: Place a large container under the coffee outlet. Press and hold both brew buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter descaling mode. The machine will start dispensing the solution intermittently.
- Rinse Cycle: After the descaling solution has run through, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water. Run at least two full cycles with fresh water (without a capsule) to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
