3. Setup and Installation

This section provides detailed instructions for installing your new Roinvou Car Stereo. Professional installation is recommended.

3.1 Pre-Installation Checklist

  • Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before starting installation.
  • Confirm compatibility with your Mazda MX-5 Miata (2006-2015 model years).
  • Gather all necessary tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wire strippers, electrical tape).

3.2 Wiring Connections

  • Red Cable: Connects to the positive terminal of the car's reverse light cable.
  • Black Cable: Connects to the negative terminal of the car's reverse light cable.
  • Important: The reverse input cable must be plugged in even if the reverse camera is not being used. Otherwise, it will affect Bluetooth and WiFi signal reception.

3.4 CANBUS Decoder Note

Depending on your vehicle's configuration, you may or may not have a CANBUS decoder. Follow the appropriate instructions below.

  • Without CANBUS Decoder:

    Connect the plugs or the steering wheel control wires (Key1/Key2) in the power cable to the corresponding port or wire of your original car. Then, follow this path: Settings > Car Settings > General (Enter SWC setting interface) to manually match and activate the button function.

  • With CANBUS Decoder:

    Connect the CANBUS before powering on the machine. Then, follow this path: Settings > Car Settings > Factory (000000) > CarType Setting to make SWC work properly. First, select the brand of the CANBUS decoder, then select the matching model and year according to the actual situation.

3.5 Post-Installation Check

After installation, reconnect the battery and power on the unit. Test all functions, including audio, touch screen response, GPS, Bluetooth, and camera input.

4.1 Wired/Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto
