3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
This impact wrench is a bare tool and requires a compatible Dewalt 20V battery (not included). Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
- Align the battery pack with the battery slot on the tool handle.
- Slide the battery pack into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

3.2 Socket Attachment
The tool features a 1/2-inch hog ring anvil for quick and secure socket changes.
- Select the appropriate 1/2-inch drive impact socket for your application.
- Push the socket firmly onto the hog ring anvil until it snaps into place.
- To remove, simply pull the socket off the anvil.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the tool, press the trigger switch. The tool will operate as long as the trigger is depressed. Release the trigger to turn off the tool.
4.2 Selecting Rotation Direction (Forward/Reverse)
Use the Forward/Reverse button located near the trigger to select the desired rotation direction.
- Push the button to the left for forward rotation (tightening).
- Push the button to the right for reverse rotation (loosening).
- Ensure the tool is stopped before changing direction.

4.3 Adjusting Speed and Torque
The tool features 4 variable speed settings, allowing you to adjust the torque output for different applications. Use the Speed Control Button to cycle through the settings.
- Speed 1: 0-550 ft-lbs (for delicate tasks or initial fastening).
- Speed 2: 0-750 ft-lbs (for general fastening).
- Speed 3: 0-950 ft-lbs (for heavy-duty fastening).
- Reverse (Auto-Stop): 0-1000 ft-lbs (for controlled loosening, automatically stops once fastener is loose).

4.4 Using the LED Work Light
The integrated LED work light automatically illuminates when the trigger is pressed, providing visibility in dimly lit work environments.
