1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read this manual carefully before operating your dehumidifier. Keep it for future reference.

  • Always place the unit on a level, stable surface to prevent tipping.
  • Ensure the power supply matches the voltage requirements specified on the unit's label.
  • Do not operate the dehumidifier with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Keep a minimum distance of 20 cm (8 inches) from walls or other objects to ensure proper airflow.
  • Do not insert objects into the air inlet or outlet.
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

3. Setup

3.1 Placement

  • Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface capable of supporting its weight (approx. 32 lbs when empty).
  • Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space on all sides of the unit for proper air circulation.
  • Avoid placing the unit near heat-generating appliances or in direct sunlight.
  • Do not place the unit in an area where it may be exposed to freezing temperatures.

3.2 Drainage Options

Your TABYIK dehumidifier offers two methods for water collection: using the internal water tank or continuous drainage via the included hose and pump.

3.2.1 Using the Water Tank (Manual Drainage)

  • Ensure the continuous drain hose is disconnected from the unit.
  • The unit will collect moisture in its 8.5-pint internal water tank.
  • When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and the "Bucket Full" indicator light will illuminate.
  • Carefully remove the water tank using the integrated handles and empty the collected water.
  • Reinsert the empty tank firmly into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.

3.2.2 Continuous Drainage with Pump

For continuous, hands-free operation, use the included drain hose and built-in pump.

  1. Locate the drain port on the back of the unit.
  2. Remove the protective cap from the drain port.
  3. Connect one end of the provided 5m drain hose to the drain port. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks.
  4. Route the other end of the hose to a suitable drain location (e.g., floor drain, sink, or outdoors). The pump can lift water up to 5 meters vertically.
  5. On the control panel, press the "Pump" button to activate the pump function. The "Pump" indicator light will illuminate.
  6. The unit will now automatically pump collected water out through the hose, eliminating the need to manually empty the tank.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The dehumidifier features an intuitive digital display and control panel on its top surface.

4.2 Operating Modes

The dehumidifier offers four distinct operating modes to suit various needs:

  • Auto Mode: The unit automatically adjusts fan speed and humidity settings based on the ambient humidity to maintain a comfortable level.
  • Comfort Mode: Designed to maintain a comfortable humidity level, typically around 50-55% RH.
  • Basement Mode: Optimized for higher humidity environments like basements, aiming for a lower humidity level, typically around 45% RH.
  • Continuous Mode: The unit runs continuously regardless of the humidity level, ideal for very damp conditions or when using continuous drainage.

4.3 Setting Humidity and Timer

  • Humidity Setting: In Auto, Comfort, or Basement mode, use the "+" and "-" buttons to set your desired humidity level. The display will show the target humidity.
  • Timer Setting: Press the "Timer" button to set a 24-hour programmable timer for auto ON/OFF. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the hours.

4.4 Smart WiFi Control

The dehumidifier can be controlled remotely via a smartphone app. Ensure your unit is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.

  1. Download the official TABYIK app from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your dehumidifier with your device.
  3. Once connected, you can power the unit ON/OFF, adjust humidity levels, change fan speeds, and select operating modes from anywhere.

4.5 Child Lock Mode

To prevent unintended changes to settings, activate the Child Lock feature.

  • To activate: Press and hold the "Timer" button for 2 seconds until the "Lock" indicator light illuminates.
  • To deactivate: Press and hold the "Timer" button for 2 seconds again until the "Lock" indicator light turns off.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.

5.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

It is recommended to clean the washable air filter every 30 days or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the air filter on the back of the unit.
  3. Gently pull out the filter.
  4. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.

5.2 Cleaning the Water Tank

Clean the water tank regularly to prevent mold and mildew growth.

  • Remove the water tank from the unit.
  • Wash the tank with mild detergent and warm water.
  • Rinse thoroughly and dry before placing it back into the dehumidifier.

5.3 Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

  • Empty the water tank and ensure it is completely dry.
  • Clean the air filter.
  • Wrap the power cord neatly.
  • Store the unit in an upright position in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting
