3. Operating Your Motherboard

Once all components are installed and connected, you can power on your system. The motherboard is compatible with Windows operating systems. For driver installation, it is recommended to use driver management software like Driver Talent/DriveTheLife or a Windows 10 system, which can assist in resolving driver-related issues.

4. Maintenance

4.1. CMOS Reset

If you encounter boot issues or need to reset BIOS settings to default, you can perform a CMOS reset. This involves reinstalling the CR2032 battery (not included, please purchase separately) and shorting the CMOS clear jumper.

  1. Install the CR2032 battery into its slot on the motherboard and ensure the system power is cut off.
  2. Locate the CMOS clear jumper (often labeled JCMOS1).
  3. Using a metal object (like a screwdriver or tweezers), short the two pins of the CMOS clear jumper for approximately 5 seconds.
  4. Remove the metal object. The CMOS has now been reset.

5. Troubleshooting

This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter.

  • System Does Not Boot / DOA: If the motherboard is Dead On Arrival (DOA) or fails to boot, please ensure all power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU) are securely seated. Verify that the CPU and RAM are correctly installed. If the issue persists, contact SHANGZHAOYUAN support via Amazon for assistance.
  • Driver Issues: For driver-related problems, it is recommended to use driver update utilities such as Driver Talent or DriveTheLife. Alternatively, installing a fresh Windows 10 operating system can often resolve driver conflicts automatically.
  • Memory Not Detected: Ensure RAM modules are fully seated in their slots. If using one or two modules, refer to Image 2.3 for correct slot placement (slot 4 for one, slots 1 and 4 for two).
  • No Display Output: Verify that your graphics card (if dedicated) is properly seated in the PCIe slot and has adequate power. Ensure your monitor cable is securely connected to the graphics card or integrated graphics port.
