4.1. Connecting the Phone

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the handset port on the phone unit.
  2. Connect to Network (PoE): If using Power over Ethernet (PoE), connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the phone and the other end to a PoE-enabled network switch or router. The phone will power on automatically.
  3. Connect to Network (Non-PoE): If not using PoE, connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the phone and to your network. Then, connect a compatible power adapter (not included) to the power port on the phone and to a power outlet.
  4. Connect to PC (Optional): If you wish to connect a computer through the phone, connect an Ethernet cable from your PC to the PC port on the phone.

Upon first boot, the phone will attempt to obtain network settings via DHCP. Once connected, you may need to configure SIP accounts. This is typically done via the phone's web interface or through an auto-provisioning server provided by your VoIP service provider.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 to add more participants (up to 6).

During a conference, you can manage participants (e.g., hold, remove, mute) using the soft keys on the display.
