Maintenance

Cleaning the Speaker

The JBL CHARGE 6 is IP68 waterproof and dustproof, allowing for easy cleaning:

  • You can rinse the speaker under tap water to remove dirt.
  • For more stubborn dirt, use a mild soap and a soft brush.
  • The speaker can be submerged in fresh water for cleaning.

Important: Do not clean the speaker with salt water or expose it to ocean water, as this can damage the device.

Charging Port Care

If the speaker is unable to charge, it may be due to water or debris in the USB-C charging port. This is often indicated by flashing lights when you attempt to charge.

  • Allow the JBL CHARGE 6 to air dry completely before attempting to charge again.
  • Do not insert regular tissue paper or other materials into the charging port, as this can leave bits and pieces that obstruct charging.

Troubleshooting

Factory Reset

A factory reset can resolve many common issues. To perform a factory reset on your JBL CHARGE 6:

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on.
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause button and the Volume Up (+) button simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds.
  3. The speaker will power off and then restart, indicating the reset is complete.

Note: After a factory reset, you will need to unpair the speaker from your devices and manually re-pair it.
