Setup
1. Charging the Robot Vacuum
Before first use, fully charge the robot vacuum. Place the charging dock against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1 meter (3 feet) to the sides and 2 meters (6 feet) in front. Connect the power adapter to the charging dock and a power outlet. The robot will automatically return to the charging base when its battery is low or cleaning is completed.

2. Connecting to Wi-Fi and App Control
The BR151YY can be controlled via the Tuya Smart App. Download the app from your device's app store. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz, as the robot vacuum is only compatible with this frequency. Follow the instructions in the included Networking Guide to connect your robot to the app. Once connected, you can set cleaning schedules, change cleaning modes, and control the robot remotely.

Operating the Robot Vacuum
1. Cleaning Modes
The BR151YY offers four high-efficiency cleaning modes to suit various cleaning needs:
- Auto Cleaning: The robot intelligently navigates and cleans the entire accessible area.
- Spot Cleaning: Focuses on a specific dirty area, cleaning in a spiral pattern.
- Edge Cleaning: Cleans along walls and furniture edges.
- Zig-zag Cleaning: Covers the largest area efficiently, reducing missed spots and increasing efficiency by 30%.

2. Voice Control
The robot vacuum is compatible with Google Assistant. Once connected through the Tuya Smart App, you can use voice commands to start or stop cleaning. For example, "Hey Google, start the robot vacuum."
3. Remote Control
For direct control without the app, use the included remote control. It allows you to manually direct the robot, change modes, and initiate cleaning. Ensure the AAA batteries are correctly installed.
4. 2-in-1 Vacuuming and Mopping
The BR151YY features a 1400Pa powerful suction for vacuuming and a 230ml electronically controlled water tank for mopping. To use the mopping function, fill the water tank and attach the washable mopping cloth. The electronic control ensures uniform water penetration, suitable for hard floors like laminate, ceramic tile, granite, and parquet. The unique air inlet design prevents pet hair from blocking the suction port, making it ideal for pet owners.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures your BR151YY operates efficiently and extends its lifespan. It is recommended to perform these tasks after each cleaning cycle or as needed.
1. Cleaning the Dustbin and Filter
Empty the 220mL dustbin after each use. Remove the high-efficiency filter and tap it gently to remove debris. The filter can be rinsed with water, but ensure it is completely dry before reinserting it into the dustbin and robot.
2. Cleaning the Mopping Cloth
The washable mopping cloth should be removed and cleaned after each mopping session. Hand wash with mild detergent and air dry completely before reattaching.
3. Cleaning Side Brushes
Periodically check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Use the included cleaning tool or a pair of scissors to carefully remove any obstructions.
4. Cleaning Downward Sensors
The robot vacuum is equipped with advanced 3D obstacle avoidance technology and downward sensors to prevent falls. It is crucial to keep these sensors clean for proper operation. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the downward sensors located on the underside of the robot. Accumulation of dust or debris on these sensors can lead to abnormal behavior, such as the robot not detecting drops or getting stuck.
Video 1: Demonstrates how to clean the downward sensors on the BR151YY Robot Vacuum. This maintenance step is crucial for preventing issues where the product might not function correctly due to obstructed sensors, ensuring proper navigation and fall prevention.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your BR151YY Robot Vacuum, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Robot not charging: Ensure the charging dock is properly plugged in and the robot is correctly aligned with the charging contacts. Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the dock.
- Robot not moving or getting stuck frequently: Check for any physical obstructions around the robot's wheels or brushes. Clean the downward sensors as described in the Maintenance section. Ensure the robot is operating on a suitable surface.
- Poor cleaning performance: Empty the dustbin and clean the filter. Check if the side brushes are tangled or worn out and replace if necessary.
- App connectivity issues: Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Restart your router and the robot vacuum. Re-attempt the pairing process as per the Networking Guide.
- Downward Sensors Abnormal: This error typically indicates that the robot's cliff sensors are dirty or obstructed. Refer to the "Cleaning Downward Sensors" section in Maintenance for detailed instructions on how to clean these sensors. After cleaning, restart the robot.
