1. Introduction

4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

1. Unscrew the tailcap of the flashlight.
2. Insert the included rechargeable AA battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the flashlight head.
3. Screw the tailcap back on securely.

4.2. Initial Charging

It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use. Refer to the "5.2. Charging the Battery" section for detailed instructions.

4.3. Attaching the Pocket Clip

The two-way pocket clip can be attached to the flashlight body to secure it to your pocket, belt, or backpack strap. Slide the clip onto the flashlight body in the desired orientation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Operation

The RovyVon AA145 features a single side switch for all operations.

• Momentary On: Press and hold the switch. Release to turn off.
• Constant On/Off: Quickly double-tap the switch to turn on. Double-tap again to turn off.
• Mode Cycling: When the light is on (constant mode), single-tap the switch to cycle through brightness levels (Low-Med-High-Turbo).
• Strobe Mode: Triple-tap the switch from any state (on or off) to activate Strobe mode. Single-tap to return to the previous mode or turn off.
• Lockout Function: From the off state, quickly click the switch 5 times to activate lockout. The light will flash twice to indicate lockout. To unlock, quickly click the switch 5 times again. The light will flash once to indicate unlock.

5.2. Charging the Battery

The included rechargeable AA batteries (3.7V and 1.5V versions) feature an integrated USB-C charging port.

1. Locate the USB-C port on the side of the rechargeable battery.
2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the battery's port and to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank).
3. An indicator light on the battery will show charging status (typically red for charging, green for fully charged).
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable.

Note: Standard non-rechargeable AA batteries (e.g., alkaline) cannot be charged via the flashlight or the battery's USB-C port. Only use the USB-C port for the designated rechargeable batteries.

5.3. Hands-Free Operation with Magnetic Base

The magnetic tailcap allows you to attach the flashlight to any ferrous metal surface, providing convenient hands-free illumination for tasks such as car repairs, workshop activities, or camping.

• Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
• Lubrication: Periodically apply silicone grease to the O-rings and threads to maintain water resistance and smooth operation.
• Battery Care: If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
• O-rings: Inspect O-rings regularly for wear and tear. Replace if damaged to maintain the IP68 rating.
