Operating Instructions
1. Scanning Modes
The scanner supports multiple scanning modes to adapt to different workflows:
- Manual Trigger Mode: Press the trigger button to scan a barcode. This is the default mode.
- Continuous Scan Mode: The scanner continuously emits a scan line, reading barcodes as they pass through the beam.
- Auto-Sensing Mode: When placed on the stand, the scanner automatically detects a barcode in its field of view and scans it without needing to press the trigger. This enables hands-free operation.

2. Data Transmission Methods
The scanner offers two ways to transmit scanned data:
- Instant Upload Mode: Scanned data is immediately transmitted to the connected device.
- Storage Mode: Scanned data is stored in the scanner's internal memory. You can then batch upload the data to your computer when connected. This is useful for scanning in areas outside of wireless range.

3. Advanced Settings
The scanner allows for various customizations by scanning specific configuration barcodes found in the full instruction manual:
- Prefix/Suffix Editing: Add custom characters before or after scanned data.
- Barcode Data Hiding: Conceal a portion of the scanned barcode data.
- Case Conversion: Set scanned alphanumeric data to uppercase or lowercase.
- Vibration Feedback: Enable or disable vibration for scan confirmation, useful in quiet environments like libraries or noisy environments like factories where audible beeps may be disruptive or unheard.
- Japanese QR Code Support: The scanner supports outputting Japanese characters from QR codes to applications like Excel, Word, or Notepad on a computer. Note: Japanese character input is not supported on iPads or smartphones.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly clean the scanner's scanning window and exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the device.
2. Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the scanner when the battery indicator is low. If storing the scanner for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and store it in a cool, dry place.
3. Storage
Store the scanner in a safe place away from extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight. Keep it protected from drops and impacts.
Troubleshooting
- Scanner not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the scanner to a power source and try again.
- Scanner not connecting:
- For USB wired, ensure the cable is securely connected.
- For 2.4G wireless, ensure the dongle is plugged in and the scanner is in 2.4G mode.
- For Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your host device and the scanner is in pairing mode. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
- Scanner not reading barcodes:
- Ensure the barcode is clean and not excessively damaged.
- Check that the scanner is in the correct scanning mode (manual, continuous, or auto-sensing).
- Verify that the barcode type is supported by the scanner (refer to Specifications).
- Adjust the distance and angle between the scanner and the barcode.
- Incorrect data output (e.g., garbled Japanese characters): Ensure the scanner is configured for Japanese QR code output if scanning such codes. This setting is typically activated by scanning a specific barcode in the full manual.
- Scanner beeps but no data appears: Ensure the scanner is successfully connected to your device and the input field on your device is active.
