1. Introduction

The LAMTTO 7-inch Motorcycle Display Audio system provides advanced connectivity and navigation features for motorcycles. This manual will guide you through the installation, operation, and maintenance of your device, ensuring a safe and enjoyable riding experience.

4. Setup

4.1 Mounting Instructions

  1. Use the provided screwdriver to attach the stand to your motorcycle's handlebar.
  2. Attach the connecting rod to the stand. The rod allows for 360-degree adjustment.
  3. Adjust the display unit's screen to your preferred viewing angle, then tighten the adjustment ring to secure the stand. The screen also allows for 360-degree adjustment.
  4. Mounting is complete.

4.2 Wiring Instructions

  • Connect the GND wire to the motorcycle battery's negative terminal.
  • Connect the ACC wire to the motorcycle's ACC control line.
  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the display unit by aligning the arrow and rotating the cover to fix it.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

The device powers on automatically when the motorcycle's ignition is turned on and powers off when the ignition is turned off. There may also be a power button on the unit for manual control.

5.2 Wireless CarPlay Connection

  1. On the display unit's home screen, tap the "Apple CarPlay" icon.
  2. On your iPhone, enable both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  3. From your iPhone's Bluetooth settings, select and connect to the device named "CAR-BT-XXXX" (the specific name may vary).
  4. Once connected, CarPlay will launch on the display unit.

Note: The first connection to wireless CarPlay may take approximately 30 seconds. Subsequent connections will be faster.

5.3 Wireless Android Auto Connection

  1. On the display unit's home screen, tap the "Android Auto" icon.
  2. On your Android smartphone, enable both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  3. From your Android smartphone's Bluetooth settings, select and connect to the device named "CAR-BT-XXXX" (the specific name may vary).
  4. Once connected, Android Auto will launch on the display unit.

5.4 Bluetooth Connection for Audio/Calls

The display unit supports connecting to Bluetooth earphones or headsets. This allows you to receive navigation voice prompts, listen to music, and make/receive calls directly through your helmet's audio system.

  1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the display unit via Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.
  2. Connect your Bluetooth helmet or earphones to the display unit via Bluetooth settings.
  3. You can now play music, make calls, and use voice control through your Bluetooth helmet/earphones.

Hint: For calls and voice control, ensure your Bluetooth helmet/earphones have a built-in microphone.

5.5 Split Screen Function

The split-screen feature allows you to view multiple applications simultaneously, such as navigation and music playback. This enhances efficiency and safety by providing all necessary information at a glance without switching screens.

5.6 Voice Control

Utilize voice commands through Siri (for iPhone) or Google Assistant (for Android) to control navigation, adjust volume, make calls, and more, all without taking your hands off the handlebars. This feature significantly improves riding safety and convenience.

Hint: Ensure Siri or Google Assistant is enabled on your smartphone and your Bluetooth audio device has a microphone.

5.7 Day/Night Mode

The display unit features a day/night mode to optimize screen visibility in varying light conditions. In day mode, the screen brightness is increased for clear viewing under direct sunlight. In night mode, the brightness is reduced to prevent eye strain and improve comfort during nighttime riding.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the display unit, gently wipe the screen and body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the screen or casing.

6.2 IP67 Waterproof & Dustproof

The device is designed with IP67 waterproof and dustproof ratings, ensuring stable operation in various environmental conditions, including rain and dusty roads. While it is highly resistant, avoid submerging the device in water for extended periods or exposing it to high-pressure water jets.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your LAMTTO Motorcycle Display Audio system, please refer to the following general troubleshooting tips:

  • No Power: Check all wiring connections, especially the ACC and GND terminals. Ensure the motorcycle's ignition is on.
  • Connection Issues (CarPlay/Android Auto): Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone. Try restarting both your smartphone and the display unit. Verify that your smartphone OS version meets the minimum requirements (iOS 10+, Android 11+).
  • No Audio: Check Bluetooth connection to your helmet/earphones. Ensure volume levels are adjusted on both the display unit and your connected audio device.
  • Unresponsive Touchscreen: Try restarting the device. Ensure the screen is clean and free from moisture or debris.
  • Display Glare: Adjust the screen angle and utilize the Day/Night mode feature for optimal visibility.
