4. Operating Instructions

This section guides you through the proper use of your Vilnason Ultrasound Therapy Device.

4.1 Before Treatment:

  1. Clean Skin: Ensure the skin area to be treated is clean and free from oils, lotions, or creams.
  2. Apply Coupling Agent: Apply a generous amount of ultrasound coupling gel (not included) to the treatment area and the surface of the ultrasound probe. This is crucial to insulate air between the probe and skin, ensuring effective transmission of ultrasonic waves.

4.2 Starting Treatment:

  1. Power On: Press the 'ON/OFF' button on the control panel to turn on the device. The LCD display will illuminate.
  2. Select Mode/Intensity: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the intensity level and treatment time as displayed on the LCD. Refer to your healthcare professional's recommendations for appropriate settings.
  3. Apply Probe: Gently place the ultrasound probe flat against the skin in the treatment area, ensuring full contact with the coupling gel.
  4. Begin Treatment: The device will start emitting ultrasonic waves. Move the probe slowly and continuously in small circular motions over the treatment area. Do not hold the probe stationary in one spot.
  5. Monitor Time: Keep track of the treatment duration. Do not exceed 15 minutes per treatment area per session.

4.3 Ending Treatment:

  1. Power Off: After the desired treatment time, press the 'ON/OFF' button to turn off the device.
  2. Clean Up: Wipe any remaining coupling gel from the probe and the treated skin area using a soft cloth or tissue.
  3. Store Device: Disconnect the power cable and store the device and probe in a clean, dry place.
