6. Installation

The EMOS Solo LED Solar Floodlight is designed for easy installation. Follow these steps:

  1. Choose a Location: Select an outdoor location that receives direct sunlight for at least 8-12 hours daily to ensure optimal charging of the solar panel. Avoid areas under eaves, trees, or other obstructions that might block sunlight.
  2. Mark Drilling Points: Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the drilling points on the wall.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points and insert the wall plugs.
  4. Mount the Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
  5. Attach the Light: Attach the solar floodlight to the mounted bracket. The foldable design allows you to adjust the angle of the solar panel for maximum sun exposure and direct the light where needed.

7. Operation

The EMOS Solo LED Solar Floodlight features an ON/OFF function button and three lighting modes. The light operates automatically based on ambient light and motion detection.

7.1 Initial Setup

Before first use, ensure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight for at least 8-12 hours to fully charge the battery.

7.2 Lighting Modes

Press the ON/OFF function button (refer to Figure 1) to cycle through the three lighting modes:

  • Mode 1 (Motion Sensor Mode): The light remains off in darkness and turns on to full brightness (1600 lm) when motion is detected. It turns off after approximately 20-30 seconds of no motion.
  • Mode 2 (Dim Light + Motion Sensor Mode): The light stays on at a dim level (e.g., 10% brightness) in darkness. When motion is detected, it switches to full brightness (1600 lm) and returns to dim light after approximately 20-30 seconds of no motion.
  • Mode 3 (Constant Dim Light Mode): The light turns on at a constant dim level (e.g., 30% brightness) in darkness and stays on until the battery runs out or daylight returns. Motion detection is inactive in this mode.

To turn off the light, cycle through the modes until the light is off.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris that may reduce charging efficiency. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Replacement: The product uses a replaceable Type 18650 Li-ion battery. If the light's performance significantly degrades over time, the battery may need replacement. Consult a qualified technician or contact EMOS support for guidance on battery replacement.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the mounting screws and bracket to ensure they are secure.
