Maintenance

Battery Replacement

A low battery indicator will appear on the display when batteries need to be replaced. Replace all batteries in the main unit or sensor simultaneously with new AAA batteries.

Cleaning

Wipe the main unit and sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Sensor Protection

Ensure the outdoor sensor remains protected from direct sunlight and heavy rain to maintain accuracy and prolong its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

  • No DCF Signal: Ensure the unit is not near sources of interference (e.g., electronics, metal structures). Try repositioning the unit. The backlight temporarily turns off during RCC signal reception, which is normal.
  • Incorrect Temperature/Humidity: Verify the outdoor sensor is placed correctly, away from direct sunlight and rain. Ensure fresh batteries are installed in both units.
  • Display Not Visible/Dim: Check if the power adapter is connected for continuous backlight. If running on batteries, the display will turn off after 15 seconds. Replace batteries if the low battery indicator is on.
  • Outdoor Sensor Not Connecting: Ensure the sensor is within the 60m range. Re-sync the sensor by removing and reinserting its batteries, then pressing the CH button on the main unit to search for the signal.
