2. Setup and Initial Use

2.1 Initial Winding

As an automatic watch, the OLEVS Model 6667 is powered by the motion of your wrist. For initial use or after a period of inactivity, manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times while it is in its normal position (pushed in). This will build up a power reserve to ensure accurate operation.

2.2 Setting Time and Date

To set the time, gently pull the crown out to the outermost position. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands. Push the crown back in to secure the time setting.

To set the date, pull the crown out to the first click position. Rotate the crown to adjust the date. Be mindful not to set the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. If the current time falls within this window, adjust the time outside this period first, set the date, then reset the time.

3.2 Automatic Movement

This watch is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement. It is powered by the natural motion of your arm and does not require a battery. When worn regularly, the watch will remain wound. If the watch stops due to lack of movement, simply wind it manually as described in Section 2.1 or wear it for several hours to build up the power reserve.

3.3 Water Resistance (3ATM)

The watch is designed with 3ATM (30 meters) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use and can withstand accidental splashes, rain, and handwashing. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or exposure to hot and humid environments such as saunas or hot showers, as this can compromise the water seals.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry one. Avoid using chemical cleaners, as they may damage the watch's finish or seals.

4.2 Water Resistance Care

Ensure the crown is fully pushed in after setting the time or date to maintain water resistance. Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes, as this can cause the seals to expand and contract, potentially compromising water resistance over time.

4.3 Storage

When not wearing the watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields. A watch winder can be used to keep the automatic movement running if the watch is not worn daily.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Watch Has Stopped

If the watch has stopped, it likely means the power reserve has run out. Manually wind the watch by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times. Alternatively, wear the watch for several hours to allow the automatic movement to self-wind.

5.2 Date/Day Not Changing

Ensure the time is not set between 9 PM and 3 AM when attempting to adjust the date or day, as this is the period when the date change mechanism is engaged. If the issue persists, ensure the crown is fully pulled out to the correct setting position.

5.3 Condensation Under Crystal

If condensation appears under the crystal, it indicates a breach in the water resistance. Immediately take the watch to a qualified watch repair professional to prevent further damage to the movement.
