1. Safety Information
WARNING: Do not exceed the maximum weight limit of 2000 lbs for the entire unit, with each shelf holding 400 lbs. Always follow the assembly instructions for safe installation. Be cautious when using the split design to ensure stability and prevent accidents. Ensure the unit is placed on a level surface to prevent tipping. Use the included anti-tip kit for added stability, especially in areas with potential seismic activity or if heavy items are stored on upper shelves.
2. Product Features

4. Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps to assemble your VEVOR 5-Tier Storage Shelves. No complex tools are required, thanks to the snap-on design.
4.1. Preparation
- Unpack all components and verify against the package contents list.
- Ensure you have a clear, level workspace.
- Wear the included gloves to protect your hands during assembly.
4.2. Standard 5-Tier Assembly
- Assemble the Base: Connect the bottom horizontal beams to the vertical posts using the snap-on mechanism. Ensure the large circular holes on the vertical pieces face upwards. Use the rubber hammer to gently tap connections into place for a secure fit.
- Add Lower Shelves: Insert the MDF boards onto the assembled beams.
- Extend Vertical Posts: Attach the upper sections of the vertical posts to the lower sections using the provided column connectors. Ensure they are securely hammered into place.
- Install Remaining Beams and Shelves: Continue adding horizontal beams at your desired heights (adjustable in 38 mm increments) and place the remaining MDF shelves.
- Secure Top Beams: Install the top horizontal beams and the final MDF shelf.
- Attach Foot Pads: Place the rubber foot pads on the bottom of the vertical posts to protect your floor and provide stability.
- Install Anti-Tip Kit: For enhanced safety, especially with heavy loads or in unstable environments, install the anti-tip kit to secure the shelving unit to a wall.

4.3. Split Design (Two Smaller Racks)
The unit can be split into two separate, shorter racks for increased versatility:
- Follow steps for standard assembly, but instead of connecting all vertical posts to form one tall unit, use the column connectors to create two separate sets of shorter vertical posts.
- Assemble each shorter unit independently, ensuring each has its own top and bottom beams and shelves.
- Apply rubber foot pads to all bottom posts of both units.
- If using the anti-tip kit, secure both individual units to the wall.

5. Usage and Operation
The VEVOR Storage Shelves are designed for versatile storage in various environments. Here are guidelines for optimal use:
- Load Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across each shelf. Avoid concentrating heavy items in one spot.
- Weight Limits: Do not exceed 400 lbs per individual shelf or 2000 lbs total for the entire unit.
- Adjusting Shelf Height: To adjust a shelf, carefully remove any items, then disengage the locking clips and reposition the horizontal beams to the desired height. Re-engage the clips and ensure they are secure before placing items back on the shelf.
- Placement: Ideal for garages, kitchens, warehouses, basements, or utility rooms. Ensure the surface is flat and stable.
- Stability: Always use the anti-tip kit to secure the unit to a wall, especially if it will hold heavy items or is in a high-traffic area.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your VEVOR Storage Shelves, follow these maintenance tips:
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the metal frame and MDF shelves with a damp cloth and mild detergent as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the powder coating.
- Inspect Connections: Periodically check all snap-on connections and locking clips to ensure they remain secure. Re-tap with the rubber hammer if any looseness is detected.
- Check for Rust: Although powder-coated for rust resistance, inspect the unit for any signs of rust, especially in humid environments. Address any rust spots promptly to prevent spread.
- Shelf Condition: Inspect MDF shelves for any damage or warping. Replace if necessary to maintain load capacity.
- Relocation: If relocating the unit, ensure it is empty to prevent damage or injury. Disassemble if moving a significant distance.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Shelf unit feels unstable or wobbly. | Uneven floor surface; connections not fully secured; overloaded shelves. | Ensure the unit is on a level surface. Re-check all snap-on connections and tap with the rubber hammer until secure. Redistribute weight or reduce load to stay within limits. Install anti-tip kit. |
| Difficulty assembling components. | Components not aligned correctly; insufficient force during assembly. | Ensure the large circular holes on the vertical posts are facing upwards. Apply firm, even pressure and use the rubber hammer to secure connections. Refer to the assembly video for visual guidance. |
| MDF shelves do not sit flush. | Horizontal beams not fully seated in vertical post slots. | Verify that all four corners of the horizontal beams are properly engaged in the keyhole slots of the vertical posts. Re-tap any loose connections. |
