4. Maintenance
4.1 Battery Monitoring and Replacement
The Tracy Tag uses a standard CR2032 coin cell battery, which provides approximately one year of life. You can monitor the battery status directly within the Apple Find My app. When the battery is low, replace it following the instructions in Section 2.1.
4.2 Dust and Water Resistance
The Tracy Tag is IP67 certified, meaning it is dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for 30 minutes. While it is resistant to splashes and brief immersion, it is not recommended for prolonged underwater use. Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed to maintain its water resistance.

5. Troubleshooting
- Device Not Connecting/Pairing:
Ensure the Tracy Tag has a fresh battery and is within Bluetooth range of your Apple device. Restart your Apple device and try the pairing process again. Check if Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
- Cannot Hear Sound:
Verify the Tracy Tag's battery level in the Find My app. Ensure there are no obstructions muffling the sound. If the battery is very low, the sound may be faint or non-existent.
- Location Not Updating:
For far-away items, the location updates when the Tracy Tag comes within range of an Apple device on the Find My network. Ensure your own device has an active internet connection to receive location updates. If the item is stationary in an isolated area, its location may not update frequently.
- Battery Drains Quickly:
Ensure you are using a genuine CR2032 battery. Extreme temperatures can affect battery life. If the issue persists with a new battery, contact support.
