|---|---|---|
| Machine does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; unit not powered on. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Press the Power button. |
| Machine vacuums but does not seal. | Bag not positioned correctly; sealing strip or gasket dirty/damaged; bag material incompatible. | Ensure the open end of the bag is flat and fully within the vacuum chamber and across the sealing strip. Clean the sealing strip and gaskets. Use only Bonsenkitchen vacuum sealer bags or compatible bags. |
| Machine seals but does not vacuum. | Lid not properly latched; bag not correctly placed in vacuum chamber; vacuum gasket dirty/damaged. | Press down firmly on both sides of the lid until it clicks. Ensure the bag opening is fully inside the vacuum chamber. Clean the vacuum gasket. |
| Air leaks into the bag after sealing. | Improper seal; puncture in bag; food with sharp edges. | Re-seal the bag. Inspect the bag for punctures; if found, use a new bag. For sharp foods, place a paper towel around the sharp edges before sealing. Ensure no moisture or food particles are on the sealing area. |
