5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartments on the rear of the transmitter.
  2. Insert two 18650 Li-ion batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartments securely.

5.2 Initial Power-On

  1. Ensure the antenna is in the upright position.
  2. Press and hold the power button until the screen illuminates.
  3. The transmitter will boot into the EdgeTX firmware.

5.3 Gimbal Adjustment

The gimbals can be adjusted for tension and self-centering. Refer to the diagram in Section 4.4 for adjustment screw locations.

  • A (I-R): Turn clockwise to disable self-centering (throttle), counter-clockwise to enable self-centering.
  • B (Throttle Tension): Turn clockwise to increase stick tension, counter-clockwise to decrease tension.
  • C (Up-Down Tension): Turn clockwise to increase vertical stick tension, counter-clockwise to decrease tension.
  • D (Left-Right Tension): Turn clockwise to increase horizontal stick tension, counter-clockwise to decrease tension.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 EdgeTX Firmware

The RADIOMASTER Pocket comes pre-installed with EdgeTX firmware, offering extensive customization and functionality. For detailed instructions on navigating EdgeTX menus, model setup, and binding procedures, please refer to the official EdgeTX documentation available online.

6.2 Using the External Module Bay

The external module bay allows for compatibility with various Nano-size modules, such as TBS Nano Crossfire or Nano Tracer. To install a module:

  1. Ensure the transmitter is powered off.
  2. Carefully insert the Nano module into the external module bay on the rear of the transmitter.
  3. Power on the transmitter and configure the module settings within EdgeTX.

6.3 Charging

Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the transmitter and to a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The charging indicator will show the charging status.
