5. Setup

5.1 Power Supply

The radio can be powered by two methods:

  1. AC Power: Connect the provided AC power cord to the DC 12.5V input port on the side of the radio, then plug the other end into a standard US wall outlet.
  2. Battery Power: For portable use, insert two (2) D-size batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the back of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).

5.2 Antenna Adjustment

For optimal radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. For FM and SW bands, adjust the angle and direction of the antenna to achieve the clearest signal. For AM reception, the internal antenna is generally sufficient, but rotating the entire unit may improve signal strength.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Turning On/Off and Volume Control

Rotate the Volume Knob clockwise to turn the radio ON. Continue rotating to increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease the volume and turn the radio OFF.

6.2 Radio Operation (AM/FM/SW)

  1. Turn on the radio using the Volume Knob.
  2. Select the desired band (FM, SW, or AM) using the Band Selector Switch.
  3. Slowly rotate the Tuning Knob to scan for radio stations. The frequency will be indicated on the frequency dial.
  4. Adjust the telescopic antenna for best reception, especially for FM and SW.

6.3 Bluetooth Speaker Operation

  1. Turn on the radio.
  2. Switch the mode to Bluetooth (usually indicated by a specific position on the band selector or a dedicated mode button, refer to specific unit markings if available). The radio will enter pairing mode, often indicated by an audible prompt or flashing light.
  3. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "Yoidesu Radio" (or similar name) from the list to pair.
  5. Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the radio's speaker.

6.4 USB Drive and Storage Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB drive into the USB port or a TF (MicroSD) card into the TF card slot.
  2. The radio should automatically switch to USB/TF playback mode or you may need to select it using a mode button.
  3. Use the playback control buttons (if available, e.g., Play/Pause, Next, Previous) to manage your music.
