  1. Connect the NVR:
    • Connect the NVR to a power source using its dedicated power adapter.
    • Connect the NVR to a monitor via the HDMI or VGA port.
    • Connect the included USB mouse to the NVR's USB port.
    • (Optional) Connect the NVR to your router using the LAN cable for remote access via the mobile app.
  2. Power On Cameras:
    • Mount each camera in your desired location using the provided screw sets and positioning stickers.
    • Connect each camera to a power outlet using its individual power adapter.
    • The cameras will automatically pair with the NVR within minutes.
  3. Download and Configure Mobile App:
    • Download the "CloudEye 365" app from your smartphone's app store (available on iOS and Android).
    • Follow the in-app instructions to add your NVR system. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed on the NVR's monitor or entering the device ID.
    • Once connected, you can view live feeds, control camera functions, and manage settings remotely.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your security system.

5.1 Camera Care

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lenses with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or smudges that may affect image clarity. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Weather Resistance: The cameras are IP66 weatherproof, designed to withstand various outdoor conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures (-13°F to 131°F / -10°C to 50°C). However, avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the cameras.
  • Cable Management: Ensure all power cables are securely connected and protected from environmental damage or tampering.

5.2 NVR Maintenance

  • Ventilation: Ensure the NVR is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for firmware updates for the NVR and cameras through the mobile app or manufacturer's website to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Hard Drive Management: The 500GB HDD provides ample storage. If you require more storage, the NVR supports upgrades up to 6TB (refer to the NVR's specific instructions for hard drive replacement).

6. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your CAMCAMP security system.

6.1 No Video Feed / Cameras Offline

  • Check Power: Ensure all cameras and the NVR are properly connected to a power source and receiving power.
  • Wireless Signal: Verify that cameras are within the wireless range of the NVR. Obstacles like thick walls can weaken the signal. Try repositioning the camera or NVR if possible.
  • Re-pairing: If a camera loses connection, try restarting both the camera and the NVR. If the issue persists, you may need to manually re-pair the camera (refer to the NVR's on-screen menu for specific instructions).

6.2 Excessive False Alarms

  • Sensitivity Adjustment: Access the camera settings via the NVR or mobile app and reduce the motion detection sensitivity.
  • Detection Zones: Configure specific detection zones to monitor only critical areas, ignoring irrelevant movements outside these zones.
  • AI Human Detection: Ensure the AI human detection feature is enabled to filter out non-human movements (e.g., pets, swaying branches).

6.3 Remote Access Issues

  • NVR Internet Connection: Confirm the NVR is connected to your router via the LAN cable and has an active internet connection.
  • App Connection: Ensure your smartphone has a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
  • Firewall/Router Settings: Check your router's firewall settings; some may block the necessary ports for remote access. Consult your router's manual or ISP for assistance.
